When I started to cut hair for friends and family, I was mostly just trimming and using any scissors I could find. Now that I am studying cosmetology to learn how to cut hair for real, the tools I use are more important. These hair cutting scissors are as good as a professional pair that cost me 5 x more than these barber shears. I opted for these 5.5 inch hair cutting shears as they are better for cutting in smaller sections and to get a more precise cut. I use 7 inch shears when I am trimming longer hair. The blade on these barber shears are razor sharp and the design makes them easy to hold, even when my hands are a little wet. The sharp blade and the ability to adjust the tension on the hair cutting shears make these so much easier on my hands to help reduce fatigue when i am doing multiple haircuts back to back. I've started to volunteer at a senior home and do about 8 cuts and styles in 5-6 hours - these scissors have really helped to keep the first cut just as good as the last; the scissors are staying sharp and my hands are not getting tired. A good quality comb and storage case are included with these hair cutting shears. Super happy with these easy to use, well designed, good quality and good value cutting shears. They look fancy and already a few people have asked me where I found them. Happy to share!

I’m always cutting my own bangs, so I wanted a pair of scissors that would give me a cleaner cut than the random ones I used to grab from around the house. These ended up being a really good upgrade. They feel steady in my hand, and the blades open and close smoothly, which makes it easier to get an even trim without having to go over the same section a bunch of times. I tried them on dry hair first, then again on slightly damp hair, and they cut cleanly both ways. I also like that the tension screw can be adjusted, because I prefer a slightly tighter feel when I’m working close to my face. The size is perfect for small sections, which is exactly what I need when I’m trimming my bangs or touching up around the sides. One thing I noticed is that they’re very sharp, so you do have to be careful, especially if you’re not used to using real hair‑cutting scissors. But once you get the hang of them, they make the whole process quicker and a lot less frustrating. These have made my little DIY trims look more intentional and less like I rushed through them. They’re simple, comfortable, and do the job well.

I'm not a professional, though my sister is. I wish I could get her feedback but that's not an option since we live far apart. However, she has done fancy things with my wife's hair over the years and tasked me with helping to maintain her hair. I have other shears and other combs but this is now the best of either that I own. The shears are sharp! They'll never see the kind of abuse from me that they would see in a professional setting so I won't be able to speak to long-term durability unless they fail catastrophically, but certainly for the casual user I don't think you can go wrong. My absolute favorite feature is actually with the comb, though. It has half centimeter markings on the back. I didn't even know that was a thing but it's amazing! I've done enough different things with my wife's hair where that would be incredibly helpful so I'm thrilled to have a comb that provides it. The comb also says it's chemical resistant and high heat resistant (up to 220°C / 428°F). That's not as helpful for me right now but that sounds like it could be really helpful for a pro.

I have been privileged to try cutting scissors that are at least 5 to 6 times the price of this one in the past and i must say this one in comparison is very impressive. It looks and performs like it is much more expensive than what it is. This scissor is very sharp and cuts very neatly. It is so smooth it makes cutting hair with it feel effortless. This scissor is easy to hold and my hand doesn’t hurt even when i give 3 haircuts back to back. This scissor has a good weight to it and does not feel flimsy or cheap. The comb that comes with this scissor also feels like good quality and works great. Overall, this scissor is well made and works very well. I love the storage case it comes with. It will make a great gift if you know someone who can use it. Considering the quality and functionality i feel the price is a steal. I will be more than happy to recommend this scissor. So far i have absolutely no complaints.

Can we talk about the beautiful packaging and presentation of these hair cutting scissors? Whoa was that not expected at all! Absolutely a great gift! The scissors are packaged in a nice bod with foam padding. They also have a protective, thick zipper pouch which I appreciate for safe storage. They also come with a white comb that is also packaged in its own separate plastic bag. The scissors are sharp! Definitely be careful. They are comfortable to use, not too heavy, but not flimsy and too light either. They feel like the perfect balance. They open and close smoothly, cutting with no problem. I am not a professional hair stylist, but I have cut my family's hair many times post-COVID and these are definitely great scissors that make cutting hair much smoother. I would recommend these - especially as a nice gift. These would be great as graduation gifts for folks graduating from hair school programs!
