I ordered the unicorn design one for my daughter, and it has the plain black grip surface on the other. The maple deck feels sturdy underfoot and has just enough flex for a beginner. She’s been practicing on our driveway and nearby park, and the board’s width gives enough space to balance. Function wise, it holds well. The wheels roll smoothly on flat ground, though on rougher pavement they feel a little stiff and make more noise. Assembly out of the box was straightforward; everything was already attached, and we only checked the trucks for tightness.
