  • Outperforms at the price point
Style: 4 - Channel
Bought this a while ago and forgot to review. I'm a solo acoustic player. I bought this for a regular gig I had that requires a ferry ride and shuttle to the venue and back. The venue provides only a powered speaker. I needed something with very basic effects that was small enough to travel with on foot and boat. This did the job, performed exactly as expected, maybe a little better. The Bluetooth connects easily and reliably for break music. And it puts out just enough power to play a small outdoor venue without overdriving any of the inputs. Negative reviews about the sound quality are pretty accurate. It's not great, but it's above the quality that I would've expected at this price point, so if youre a working musician or DJ I would only recommend this in a niche situation like I used it. ... show more

  • Pyle equipment is from Brooklyn, USA, and I like it...
Style: 8 Channel
I'm going to say something, and you are not going to believe me. This Pyle PMXU83BT audio mixer, your computer, a few good mics, your instrument, your voice, some audio software, a pencil & paper, and a lover, and you can be The Beatles. I knew you wouldn't believe me. This is an amazing American product. It is an 8 channel studio mixer. It requires no knowledge of audio mixing. It will record your material without noise, without hassles, without a learning curve. SPECIFICATIONS: USB/FLASH READER/MP3 COMPATIBILITY: Connect your external USB, computer PC, flash drive or Bluetooth device to mix & record. Use the built-in controls to play/pause, skip tracks and switch between modes. BLUETOOTH WIRELESS STREAMING: Hassle and cable-free audio streaming ability directly to the console unit. Enjoy a value-packed mixing solution today with performances that sound great each time. You can easily do your own podcast, start your own band, add narration to your movie, and do so many other things that there is not enough room to describe them here. One thing I am going to tell you. I am an audio engineer and though that I knew everything. I didn't read the instruction manual. Once you have it all set up and connected to your computer via the beautiful, one cable, all-purpose USB port, and the board lights up, there will be no sound. But the board is lit, and correctly wired to my computer. I finally read the manual for help.... Line 1) Turn the freaking thing on. Just because the board is lit does not mean it is on. It gets power from the computer AND the power cord, included. I was happy and ashamed at the same time. I got over it. Pyle USA is made in good old Brooklyn USA. As a decorated veteran, that makes a big difference to me. It's super light, yet heavy-duty, like a Sherman tank. It comes with plenty of groovy effects (reverb, echo, delay, etc.) built in. Yes, there's a send and return bus for external effects (there has to be - you're a pro engineer now, aren't you?), but, for the life of me, I haven't needed them yet. IT IS SUPER QUIET. That's how you tell a good board from a bad one. This is a broadcast-quality studio mixer. The only drawback is that it only carries 8 tracks at a time. But, then, even The Beatles started on a 2 track. This is a great product. Three thumbs up. Buy me. ... show more

  • Decent, solid, reliable
Style: 6 Channel
Pros: It does/has nearly everything you'd expect and they pack it all in rather neatly. The (to me) effortless BT pairing, USB storage manipulation, USB Computer Interfacing... all of it works as I'd hoped it would. Also, very low noise even when connected to a sketchy power supply. Neutrals: It doesn't have an amp, which seems about right for the price. Cons: One thing that I was not aware of, was not properly documented, and DOES make a difference, is that the external FX send and receive is only mono. In fact, the built-in FX for the most part sounds monochromatic too - which I can't confirm if it actually is or isn't b/c it isn't documented at all. For singular voices without a wide range, or _maybe_ a regular piano / acoustic guitar, it doesn't make much of a difference. However when mixing musical instruments with wider ranges it's the difference between sounding flat and sounding spacious. You'd literally have to intercept the stereo output of the entire mixer to get true stereo FX incorporated into the mix. I know this sounds niche... and it is... but it is important to know. TL;DR: This thing and it's brethren are great, especially if you want something legit & reliable hooked up to your computer or want to incorporate an external bluetooth source such as a cell phone into a decent mixer - i.e. weddings or house parties. However, I would not recommend this for poly synthesizers or anything with stereo pickups, and you want to add effects that bend or manipulate L&R channels. ... show more

  • Great little mixer!
Style: 4 - Channel
Very simple and easy to use. Bluetooth works great as well as the usb media port. Have had for 3 or 4 years and has never let me down. Retired DJ and use it to rock my garage, make a playlist on my flash drive and plug it in for hours and hours of music!

  • Good mixer, but crappy FX
Style: 6 Channel
Mixer is easy to use. Doesn't do everything (you can't pan each channel, so it's a 'stereo mixer' in terms of stuff you input through the aux, but not in terms of your main channels - and, frankly, that sucks - but for my purposes, it'll still work. The only horrible thing are the reverb/delay effects! I have another small Chinese mixer which has an excellent plate reverb, and an excellent hall program as well. The FX on this mixer are below average. Acceptable for the PA front-end I'm using it for, but definitely below average - which is strange, because it's easy to find decent digital reverbs these days. So, they absolutely should have added panning on all of the mono input channels, and they should have found better FX. But it's cheap, has enough inputs, is reasonably quiet, the preamps sound OK, so, it'll do. Bluetooth took a moment, and that's because the instruction manual is terrible. ... show more
