this is great. i'm 5ft6. currently 175 lbs of jiggle so i wasn't exactly sure what weight to buy since i see 10% body weight recommended. i went with 16#. i love it. wearing while i bike inside and on long walks. the shape is nice bc nothing over my chest. i'm a 36D , so the X shape don't work while this does. lots of straps to clip keys and the buckles are secure. highly recommend.

Took a little white to get used to the extra weight. I went for the 16 pounds instead of the recommended 12 pounds. I walk every day with it and it has made the walking more effective and my thighs actually have gotten more toned. Started walking a 1.75 miles and have worked up to 2.75. Love the vest.

After trying two other brands, I've settled for this brand for good, it seems. I've bought the 20lb and the 25lb models. The 25lb model I've bought twice, because if you use it a lot for running and walking, it is absolutely possible to wear it out until it starts leaking sand. If you go for longer sessions and a lot of them, the friction will eventually grind a hole through the outer shell. The inner shell is very thin, so once the outer shell has a hole...the inner one will soon follow. For me, it probably took 120 hours of exercise before it happened. There's an easy trick to prevent this. The 2 bottom corners are your weak spots, where most of the friction is applied. I would buy super glue in spray form and spray it on those two sections before first use and spray it again after a few months. If you've seen that the corners are wearing thin already, you can use regular liquid super glue to seal them up again. On the photo, I've applied liquid super glue on the left corner, since it started leaking today.

In college I filled a back with rocks and walked around campus with it. The weight disbursement was horrible. These weighted vests distribute the weight so it actually feels comfortable. And it doesn't flap when you're moving either. My 30lb vest is perfect for walking but I have yet to try running with it. If you can get it on any type of sale, even better.

I’m enjoying adding this vest to my daily walking, and occasionally wear around the house while doing housework. I was worried about it being uncomfortable and compressing my spine but it is just enough to weight to increase my cardio challenge without being unpleasant. The straps are adjustable, and it seems durable. My only concern is wearing it during the hot Florida summer and it getting sweaty and stinky , since it can only spot cleaned. Overall, I’m pleased with this purchase and appreciate the ability to improve my fitness without adding any extra time/new workouts.

Went with the 16 pound for first try and it's good. I do feel in the beginning until you get used to the weight, it pulls on the back of the neck some. The only other thing that was a slight drawback is I noticed all the women in the photos have flat chests and the strap goes right across the front of the breasts. If you have a size C cup and above, this is really uncomfortable. Also, wouldn't recommend wearing with a tank top. I found the vest rubbing into my upper arms to the point of irritation. Gives you one heck of a workout.
