The exterior is easily scratchable which is fine; I rather scratch the case than the iPad. The lilac looking purple isn’t as advertised at all: it looks grey with a tinge of purple. Overall I like the case despite paying a little extra for the color. The rating is at 2-stars because it does not look as pictured. I would rather have bought the grey colored case for a cheaper price. Edit: I am leaving my original review here and adding this. The seller reached out and have addressed my issue it. For the price, this was a great purchase. The case is good quality. The lip of the case doesn't cover the screen of the iPad, but when closed it is still very protective. The back is slightly see through so you can still see the apple logo. There is no place to keep an apple pencil.

My wife has a $40 cover, this one cost $9.99. Hers looks the same. Mine has plastic fittings that lock onto the corners of the ipad and hold it in place. Hers has rubber molded fittings that look more durable. The cool feature that turns off the ipad the second you close the cover and turns it back on the second you open it is the same on both. Externally, the covers look the same and feel very similar. The inside of my cover has a felt lining that protects the screen. I forgot to check hers out. Both covers have a precise fit that allows access to all features. I suspect hers will last longer but they will both get scuffed up, stained and dirty at about the same rate and will likely need to be replaced around the same time and, as I said, mine cost 10 bucks! If you want the Ferrari of ipad covers, get the one she got. Otherwise, this one is fine. ... show more
