I've tried so many different probiotic products that I've found here. And most of them barely worked if at all. A couple that I really liked, only worked the first 2 or 3 days, then nothing. Then I came across this one. I opened the bottle and thought geez they're kinda oily and they stick together. And it's kind of cute that they look a little like the Goldfish crackers. But I figured, I'll try em anyway. I took a dose, which is two yellow liquid capsules. So for lunch, I tested them out by eating three foods that typically bother my gut. OMG! They seem to temporarily cure ALL, yes EVERY ONE of my food issues all at once! Mind blown! I continued to use them since. But, I did learn one caveat. MODERATION. They definitely work, but too much of the bad stuff still seems to overwhelm them. So, I always have to remember to stick with normal sized portions. I guess that's good, because I need to lose some weight anyhow. I ABSOLUTELY WILL be buying more! ... show more

    • STICKY PROBLEM; EASY SOLUTION?
This is a really great product. The only problem I have is that the capsules stick together in the bottle, even after a good shaking. I’ve started to add about 1.5 grams of corn starch when I open each new bottle. A quick shake solves the problem. Surely, something similar could be done in your bottling process, or the addition of a silica-gel packet might provide a comparable solution. ... show more

    • If the tail offends thee, cut it off!
No, really. You can cut off the tail if you're freaked out by them. Of course, be careful, not to cut too far into the gelcap. It's a very cute marketing gimmick, I can't even imagine how much it must have cost to have a very different looking gelcap on the market. But it definitely creates a buzz. I've been taking probiotics for almost a year now, discovering different strains and how they work, and how they work in concert with each other and my body. One overall benefit is my tummy that I thought was just fat, isn't. It's gone down. While I'm definitely overweight, my tummy is now flatter than it ever has been. My pants fit better, and looser....I've also lost weight, 25 pounds in that timeframe, maybe 1-ish pound a week, and I've not changed much exercise wise. I do eat more greens, complex salads, trying out those dinner boxes (they are currently cheaper than the grocery store!) I don't have gas, I don't have digestive issues. I would say they've been beneficial to my regimen of health. These are the last type of probiotics I've tried, and honestly, they aren't bad for what they propose to be. They kept my tummy flat, the bowels working well, and generally being just right. I would have no problems recommending them to anyone, the price point is very nice for the number of servings you're getting, and 30+ strains is not common. You are absolutely getting what you pay for which this product. For the last month though, I've not felt as quite a good effect, and I wonder, is 75 servings too much *not* to be refrigerated? To be fair, December was probably the most stressful month of hardship and grief, and a lot of physical issues arose because of that stress. So that's maybe why they didn't work as well. Or, they kept working, and I could have been worse off (though I don't see how, lol). I will more than likely keep these in my rotation, will definitely refrigerate them, and keep the tails on, lol. ... show more

I recently bought 7 bottles of Dr. Joel's Probiotic Satchels from Amazon, intending to share them with my family and friends. Unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed when all the bottles arrived with the satchels fused together. This made the product unusable and was not at all what I expected from a reputable brand like Dr. Joel's. When I tried to return the product to Amazon, I was informed that they could not be returned due to food safety reasons. While I understand and respect the need for such policies, it's frustrating as a customer not to be able to get a refund or replacement for a product that arrived in an unsatisfactory condition. As a result, I was unable to sample the probiotic satchels and can't speak to their efficacy or taste. My review is strictly based on the poor quality control and the fact that I was left with unusable products. I hope Dr. Joel's will address this issue and ensure that future customers don't face the same problem. Until then, I would advise potential buyers to be aware of this risk when purchasing this product. For those considering purchasing probiotics, I would recommend looking into other trusted brands that have proven quality control measures in place. ... show more
