Description

Rest easy with Res Care Liquid Water Softener Cleaner. It cleans what salt leaves behind and is easy to use. First Application Instructions: Use 1/2 cup (4 ounces) of Res Care per cubic foot of softener resin. Most residential softeners contain approximately 1 cubic foot of resin; if unsure, check your manual. Pour the cleaner directly into the brine well. If there’s no brine well, pour directly into the salt tank when salt is low. Manually regenerate the softener. If taste or odor is detected in tap water, manually regenerate softener, then run cold water until the odor is gone. Regular Maintenance Instructions: Add 1/2 cup (4 ounces) per cubic foot of resin at each regeneration.

I went 16 years without cleaning the system, I didn't know any better, I thought the auto regeneration every 1000 gallons or so was doing that. My water pressure was dropping and i googled and found out it needed this kind of treatment every few years, I added a bottle and started a regeneration cycle for that night and the next morning the water pressure was back, the tank wasn't filling up with water and using up all of the salt, and now it runs efficiently and good as new! ... show more

I like the easy to use size but there was no inner seals on the bottles and it leaked all over. I ended up using 2 bottles the first time to equal 4 oz.
