  • It's NOT green!
First off, ignore the reviewers complaining it has a green tint. It DOESN'T. There's a removable film on both the outer side and inner side to prevent scratching. Acrylic scratches really easily so any time you buy acrylic sheets, it has this film over it. The green film might be on the inside or the outside of yours depending on which direction they decided to bend the sides of your particular dust cover. The downside to this dust cover (aside from the price and the RPM 1 not coming with it to begin with) is that the sides are not connected. Instead of cutting a top and sides and welding (acrylic welding) it all together, they just bent down four sides and left them disconnected. How did I fix this? I decided to buy some clear car door edge molding and putting it along the bottom edges of the dust cover. For now I decided to remove the adhesive from the molding and just stick it over the bottom edge. I'll have to see how long it stays in place. The molding does support the corners a little better so that when you lift it, the sides don't have as much give to it. It was a little difficult to bend at the corners but I just cut a little slit on the inside of the molding to fit the corner better. This molding also keeps the dust cover from sliding on my marble platform as well. If you want to go even cheaper, some rubber tubing (cut one side along the length) from Home Depot will probably do just the same. I just figured this car door stuff had the adhesive in case needed and I didn't have to worry about cutting straight along the tubing. I have enough left over that I could do it again if needed with the adhesive still on. I'm just not sure how well it will stick to acrylic anyway. All in all, I'm happy with the dust cover. The only other option was making one myself or finding someone to custom make one. Both options probably would have resulted in a better dust cover (all sides welded together) but likely at a similar cost... or more if I had someone else do it. Oh, and again, IT'S NOT GREEN. Take the darn protective film off!!!! ... show more

  • It's clear (not blue/green like the other review says
It's a dust cover. It costs too much for what it is. It's clear (not blue/green like the other review says, the blue is a protective film that can be removed). The main thing I must say is that reading reviews of this cover online scared me away from it for quite some time. Every review seemed to bash this thing. Saying it was flimsy and easily breakable. I tried several other less costly solutions and just wasn't satisfied. I got this and it's sturdier than I thought it would be. It's made of one piece of acrylic so the corners are not fused on the corners and the back is open for cables to pass through .It's thick enough and stable enough to feel confident about. Just. . . wish it was maybe just included with the turntable to begin with (especially the RPM 3, given it's a $700+ turntable) and wasn't an additional cost of $100. ... show more

  • Ordered a clear cover, got a green one. Garbage
The cover seems sturdy enough, but I received a green one, not a clear cover. I peeled off an outer film that was clear and did not see an inner protective film. This thing is coke bottle green. Also to top it off, the cover while new, has some small cracks in it. Will return for sure because this is not what I ordered. ... show more

  • Legit, the Worst thing I’ve Ever Bought on Amazon
Flimsy, cheaply made, doesn’t appropriately contain wires. Has gaps at the corners that allow dust in. Honestly, this is a $10 item. That Pro-Ject charges $100 is shameful.

  • Works well but a little flimsy. Take off both inner and outer film before judging.
Precisely cut, but a little flimsy. 1/8" acrylic, that seems to be cnc machined or laser cut, then thermoformed to its finished shape. I was looking into cheaper alternatives, but buying the raw material or having a custom acrylic box made costs roughly the same price. I would have preferred if it was a 1/4" thick and if the edges were welded together. Might try welding the edges myself to increase rigidity. Looks ugly out of box, but looks great after taking off the clear outer film and green inner film. ... show more

  • Item not as represented
It is NOT clear. IT IS GREEN. Would have been nice if seller showed the actual photo. Does not appear to be acrylic either. More like cheap plastic.

  • The worst product I have ever bought from Amazon
This is not a clear Pro-Ject turntable cover. It is an unbranded heavy murky green plastic box. It doesn’t even fit on the turntable. It is a piece of trash. It is a disgrace that Turntable Lab could offer this for $99.

  • Quick delivery
Product as described, quick delivery, pricy for an acrylic cover.
