Living in Florida and having sensitive eyes is a bit of a cruel combination. Between beach days, gardening, dog walks, and basically existing outdoors for more than five minutes, sunglasses are a necessity. I do own prescription sunglasses and several Oakleys that I love, but I'm always nervous about taking my expensive pairs somewhere they could get scratched, lost, or sacrificed to the ocean gods. That's why I like keeping a few affordable backup pairs around. When these arrived, I honestly wasn't expecting them to feel as nice as they do. The first thing I noticed was the build quality. The frame feels sturdy without being overly heavy, and the arms have a solid feel that doesn't make me worry they'll bend if I accidentally toss them in a bag. The hinges move smoothly and naturally, with none of that stiff, squeaky feeling that some budget sunglasses have. The aviator design is classic and looks surprisingly upscale for the price. In fact, at first glance they reminded me a bit of some much more expensive designer aviators. The vintage detailing on the temples adds a nice touch without being flashy. The glass lenses were another pleasant surprise. Everything looks clear and crisp, and they do a great job cutting down the harsh Florida sun while still keeping colors looking natural. I've worn them while walking the dog, working in the garden, and running errands, and they've been comfortable for extended wear. The included leather case is also a nice bonus and makes the whole package feel more premium than the price tag would suggest. If I had one small caveat, it's that glass lenses are naturally a little heavier than plastic lenses. It wasn't an issue for me, but if you're used to ultra-lightweight sport sunglasses, you'll notice a difference. The tradeoff is better clarity and scratch resistance, which I personally prefer. For around $20, these feel like an excellent value. They look good, provide solid sun protection, and are affordable enough that if they accidentally get left behind at the beach, neither my wallet nor I will need a moment of silence afterward.

I was pleasantly surprised by how high-quality and well-designed these aviator sunglasses are, especially for the price. They feel even more durable than some more expensive brands I’ve tried in this style. The design is beautiful, with detailed accents on the arms and frame that give them a unique, vintage look. The lenses are incredibly clear and provide excellent visibility without distortion, even on very bright, sunny days. I also love that they come with great accessories. The leather case is sturdy and includes a convenient clip, which makes it easy to attach to my purse or tote so I don’t have to dig around to find them. The soft pouch doubles as a cleaning cloth, which is a really thoughtful touch. It’s also nice that they included a small screwdriver for adjustments if needed. Fit-wise, these are very versatile. I have a petite, narrow face and was happy they didn’t feel oversized, but they also looked great on someone with a larger, rounder face. That makes them a great option for a variety of face shapes. Overall, these sunglasses offer excellent quality, comfort, and style at a great value. I’m very happy with these and would definitely recommend them!

You can’t beat the classic aviator. You’d be hard pressed to find a pair you wouldn’t look good in. These are no exception. Pro-Acme has done a fantastic job of making their own run of the aviator silhouette. The high-polish, gold steel frames, subtle tooling on the nose bridge and arms, and classy tortoiseshell earpieces tie the style up in a pretty bow for your handsome face. In my opinion, aviators are the perfect balance of form and function, and Pro-Acme hit the mark. I was skeptical about them initially, but I knew they were going to be my summer sunnies once I had them in my hands. They came in a familiar-looking box, packaged inside yet another familiar-looking leatherette glasses case. Lastly, they were swaddled in a drawstring microfiber sleeve which also included a full-sized microfiber cleaning cloth. Value on value on value. I could not be more impressed! They look great, they feel substantial, and they’re an incredible value for what you’re getting. Just awesome! Grab a pair for yourself and one for a gift to brighten up someone’s day. 10/10

This review is for Pro Acme Classic Aviator Sunglasses in color: Black/Grey. I’ve bought a few pairs from Pro Acme over the years and they seem to understand that not everybody wants giant logos or trendy shapes. Sometimes you just want a good aviator. The glass lenses are the reason I picked these. They have a little weight to them and the view through them is really clear. The grey tint works well in bright sun and the darker lens color gives them a more traditional look. The frame keeps things simple. Black metal, classic aviator shape, and a small pattern on the arms that adds a little character when you notice it. Nothing loud, nothing trying too hard. Fit was good for me. The nose pads adjusted easily and the hinges felt smooth opening and closing. I also appreciated the included case since sunglasses have a way of ending up in random places. For what they cost, these feel like the kind of sunglasses somebody could wear for years and never have to explain why they bought them.

The iconic aviator silhouette on these shades instantly elevates my style while giving me excellent coverage against the afternoon sun, but I noticed that the genuine crystal glass lenses make the frames feel significantly heavier on the bridge of my nose compared to standard plastic options. The view through the high-clarity lenses is incredibly crisp, filtering out harsh highway glare and showing true-to-life colors without any of the annoying distortion I usually get from cheap polymer pairs. I really appreciate that the glass surface resists scratches and abrasion when I toss them onto a table, though the rigid material means they are much more prone to shattering if I accidentally drop them onto concrete.
