  • Works great for commercial use!
I am a professional tshirt maker. I have literally made 100K heat pressed shirts over the last 15 + years. I used a Geo Knight $1500 heat press. For those who are not familiar, this is one of the best of the best name brands. I worked this heat press into the ground. However, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on another at that moment. I have other major expenses right now. So I did my research and ended up wanting this Tusy. While no it isn’t a Geo Knight, it is the king of cheaper presses. I use it daily in a business. It works perfectly. The only thing, and really the ONLY thing that I would change is that I wished it would open wider. I burn my knuckles daily. 2-3 times a day. I might just be so use to my other press that I am not aware of how close my hand is to the platen, but it also makes the shirt pretty hot even when it’s not pressing the shirt. If you put the transfer on the shirt and wait without pressing, the transfer starts curling up from the heat that the press just puts off. This press is well made and sturdy. The directions were clear and the press came ready to use out of the box. I haven’t had any issues but I suspect when and if I do, that the support will be top notch from what I read from the other buyers, which was another reason I chose this one. I don’t expect this press to make 100k shirts and last for 15 years, but for $215, I feel that I will very well get my monies worth and then some! If you’re deciding between these cheaper presses, look no further. This one is good. If it works commercially, it will do whatever else you may need it for. Just watch out burning your knuckles. ... show more

  • Gets the job done
Lightweight, wobbly press. Not very sturdy compared to others I've used. Presses fine though.

  • It works fine but
This is actually my first heat press that I ever bought. I started my t-shirt business and I decided to give this press a try. It’s easy to use but the mat on the press moves. I don’t like that. You have to be careful putting a shirt down on it. The press works good. Images are pretty clear. But like i said, the mat moves. Also the heat press had dents in it when i took it out the box. I didnt like that either. I was afraid it wouldn’t work but thankfully it did. So far so good. Eventually i will upgrade to a better one. I did my research before I bought a heat a press. And i realized that It’s a hit or miss when it comes to these heat presses if you’re own a cheap budget. You could get a good one or you could get a bad one. This press is good for beginners only. The next press I get will be an upgrade. I will look into getting a swing press so that you can place your design under the press without it being hot. Because with these types of press, you have to hurry up and place your design where you want it on the shirt before sticks the shirt and you haven’t even pressed it yet ... show more

  • Budget friendly, but watch your temperature
I bought this unit as my first heat press. Like a lot of people getting into heat transfers, I was looking into a budget friendly option. My heat press was shipped directly from the manufacturer. Upon delivery, the heat press was packaged extremely well, and there was no noticeable damage to the box. My first impression when I set the unit up, was that although this is an entry level machine, the materials overall didn't reflect that. Every machine on the market will have some deviation in temperature indicated on the display to the actual temperature on the platen. You learn to adjust accordingly. My unit however was up to 30 degrees off. Even trying to adjust the temperature on the display to compensate for the temperature difference, I could never get the temperature in a more acceptable range. Out of 30 shirts that I did, 5 came out perfect, 15 had some kind of problem that needed to be touched up, and 10 were total failures, and the shirts were destroyed. Although I'm a beginner and I'll claim user error and inexperience on some of the problems, a 30% success rate wasn't going to work for me. I returned my unit directly to the manufacturer. They deducted the return shipping cost from my refund which was fine. I will use my refund to put towards a different unit soon. ... show more

  • NOT EVEN PRESSURE
I really do like the machine, but it does not have even pressure on one side. If I am sublimating an image I have to make sure it doesn't cove the left side or there will be issues. It does look bent, but I imagine it happened in the shipping process. I would still buy again knowing that I did get what I paid for. ... show more

  • spend the money Buy a better press
We purchased this press thinking it would be a little better then the swing arm we have we wanted a backup never even turned it on when we put it all together did not like the way the pressure to push the top down is all on one adjustable bolt that lets the top wobble all over and not line up evenly with the bottom the slide drawer on the bottom is not smooth and won't slide out verry far we returned ours going to look for something better ... show more

  • Worth the purchase!:)
First, I am excited and overall glad I purchased this heat press. It arrived before time, so that was great. It’s a pretty decent size machine, heats pretty quick, gets extremely hot, and it does a wonderful job with pressing. I did contact the seller with a question, they responded very professional and direct. They referred me back to the manual and the page to view the video’s that was listed. I scanned through the manual the first time and missed the instructions, but I did go back to re-read and it was a really easy set up. I have already used this machine about 3 times and it works great, just 2 things I kinda sorta of dislike. One, it’s sturdy, but I did notice the top of the machine was a little wobbly. So, I plan on having my husband to try to tighten it up some. Second, I HATE THE BLACK PAD that came with it. I just absolutely hate it. It doesn’t provide support, and it moves whatever you are trying press extremely to much causing unnecessary wrinkles and you constantly have to stop to reposition your content. That’s the only two things I dislike about it and those are easy fixes. I will purchase a better mat or pillow. Other than that, I am grateful someone recommended this product to me and I am so glad I purchased this. Also, the price is VERY REASONABLE! So, if you are indecisive, go ahead and purchase!! ... show more
