Ordered one day, arrived the next. Packaged very well. I have been looking for a 'certain' curtain for my bedroom for quite a while. I typically do a lot of research, which can be really tedious. I was all over the place for these particular curtains and had narrowed things down to a few choices, each completely different from the other. I saw the price for these particular curtains and really questioned how good they could really be, at that price? I read the reviews, the majority of which were excellent. Often, if I find something I really like - visually, anyway - I'll put it in my 'cart,' and then come back to it a day or two later. If I STILL like it at that point, I know I have a winner. That was the case with this order. In fact, I ended up missing $5 per set on these, simply because I needed to wait a day... But it didn't matter. I was stunned when I opened this package and actually saw these curtains. At this price point, I expected to 'like' them. I did NOT expect to LOVE them. I mean LOOOOVE them. I purchased the gold color. I don't even know what to say first. The weight of the fabric is something you typically only find in a much pricier 'drape.' There is a sheen to these, as well. The color is rich and vibrant, and the fabric feels 'expensive.' Depending on what kind of lighting you have in the room they'll be hung, they can look totally different. I believe they'll do a reasonable job at darkening my room enough to get a great night's sleep but can't yet say whether they'll offer a total 'blackout.' The first thing I thought when opening these curtains was that I wished I was still living in my previous home. It was one of those craftsman style homes with lots of intricate, handcrafted woodworking throughout the entire home, with huge windows and built-ins. These curtains would have been stunning there! I'm almost tempted to knock of the door and tell whoever is living there now to check these out....LOL. Anyway, if you're on the fence with these...do yourself a favor and just hop off that fence and place your order already! You won't be sorry!

I adore these curtains. They’re velvety and soft. The cream/ivory colored curtains — which are the ones I ordered — are a true cream color. They blend very well with slightly darker and lighter shades of cream. I would not call them “heavy,” but they are substantial enough for my needs. I think the quality is pretty darn good considering the price of the curtains. That said, if you’re in search of blackout curtains, keep looking. These are definitely NOT blackout curtains. I can’t speak to how well darker colored curtains keep the light out, but the cream colored curtains I ordered most certainly do not block anywhere near enough light to be considered “blackout.” See the picture I posted which shows the way the curtains look on two windows during the day. I have sheers behind them and it’s pretty clear that light manages to come through the curtains nonetheless. That’s fine for me, as I am using them in a formal sitting/living room and do not need blackout. I tried them in my bedroom where I do need blackout, however, and that did not work out. I should note that if you’re looking for blackout curtains, Primrose sells very nice blackout curtains on Amazon, but these curtains are not the ones. So, beautiful, quality curtains at a good price; just not a blackout curtain.
