Description
The MIG180 180-Amp MIG Welder With Spool Gun gives you three different welding processes. Like most MIG welders, you can run flux-core wire without shielding gas using the same equipment as you do for MIG. This machine also adds aluminum welding to your shop's arsenal. The dual-voltage 120/240 volt-powered PrimeWeld MIG180 ships with its own spool gun for aluminum MIG wire. Aluminum welding wire tends to be quite soft compared to steel wire. Feeding aluminum wire the entire distance from the spool to the torch can cause kinks and jams. For long runs like welding quarter panels or floors into auto bodies, the PrimeWeld MIG180 features a 2T/4T trigger lock. The 2T/4T feature saves hand fatigue for those long welds. In "2 Touch" or 2T mode, the arc strikes when you pull the trigger and stops when you let up.

I kick myself for not buying it sooner
hello, I own a welding and fab shop in TX small as it maybe I build custom made products I was hired to build a Custom-built Dogbox the one in the pics I provided In March I bought this PRIMEWELD MIG 180 Welder just for the spool gun so I could build this custom dog box and have the ability to weld aluminum faster than my normal ARC welding I own a Miller 215 Mig welder but do not have a spool gun boy they are pricey Anyhow I welded the entire box with no issues with the welder I have compared this welder to my miller as far as welding mild steel and remarkably this prime weld welder held up flawlessly, I kick myself for not buying this welder years ago when I bought my miller welder the ease of changing out guns is quick the change of wire is quickly done no fighting with the wire feed it's an all-around great welder you can weld spool gun reg Mig and ARC welding with this one welder comes with everything listed in the product description either you are season vet welder like myself or a beginner home garage shop DIYer i HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PRIME WELD MIG 180 WELDER THANKS AND GOD BLESS

Excellent quality but affordable, love it.
This whole box cost less than a Miller spool gun, this is an excellent quality welder.

Try primeweld before spending thousands of dollars
Definitely worth the money, I run the welder on 220v I don’t run it on 120v so I can’t speak on how it works on 120 V or flux core wire, I’ve already gone through two 10 pound reels of wire and it works great have not ran into any issues , have also used the pool gun and was pretty impressed have gone through one reel with the spool gun and it is definitely worth the value. Comes with a nice chart to get you close to what settings you want to run the machine at comes with awesome instruction guide . Can’t say enough good things about prime weld.

Stop looking and buy this welder.
This is a fantastic little welder, I would recommend it to anyone regardless their experience level. It does everything It claims and more. I have yet to hit a point where the duty cycle affects the weld. It is very much worth the money. I would suggest getting the optional 200 amp MIG torch if you plan on welding heavier material (5/16" and thicker.) It's a very high quality product and the customer service team is out of this world. You wont have an issue contacting a human that knows how to handle whatever issue that may arise. If you're on the fence, buy it, you wont regret it.

great welder
Welds really well. Arrives in a super solid box with lots of foam, so it arrived in perfect shape unlike my yeswelder that I bought. While this welder is more expensive, you get a spoolgun as well as gas regulator and hose. You would have to buy these items separately with the yeswelder. Also, this welder is rated to 3/8 mild steel and aluminum (1/4 for the yeswelder 205). All the settings for the machine are in inches or gauge thickness, which I like. No auto settings based on metal thickness or similar, but they give you the good ol chart inside the door. Works for me. So far I've only done one project with this, and the rest of my use has been practice on 1/8 and 3/16 steel. Provided settings are pretty good for those. No aluminum yet for me. If you are looking for a good MIG get this one. If you buy a yeswelder I will bet it shows up damaged--mine did. I returned it and bought this Mig 180, and it works great. I recommend it. Now to get an argon bottle.
