The ACSS NOVA is a purpose-built reticle that leverages a high-efficiency fiber optic wire for Red Dot Bright illumination. With built-in target ranging, BDC subtensions, and moving target leads, this reticle provides a broad, intuitive toolset for engaging targets from close to long-range. This version of the NOVA features BDC subtensions specifically calibrated for 5.56 and .308 ammunition allowing you to easily calculate bullet drop and hit those long range shots. The ACSS NOVA 5.56 /.308 features a full BDC, allowing for accurate engagements from close range to 700 yards. This BDC is compatible with 5.56 NATO, .308 Winchester, and similar cartridges. Knowing the distance to your target is crucial to using the reticle effectively. The MIL subtensions are sized to match an 18” measurement at various distances. To range a target by its width, simply hold your MIL subtensions over an 18” target and find the stadia which most closely matches its width. 1st MIL = 300yd 2nd MIL = 400yd 3rd MIL = 500yd To range your target, hold your BDC over an 18” cross-section and find the stadia which most closely matches its width. This will give you a quick estimate of the target’s distance, allowing you to compensate for drop more effectively.
