    • Overall great toy with one tiny flaw
I got this for my 2 year old daughter who loves fine motor skills activities. She and my 3 year old daughter loved them from the start. A year later my younger can match them together lickity split and they use them to “cook” in their play kitchen, pretend to sit on and hatch them (then little sister is baby duckie and big sister is mamma duckie), they also play chicken farmer and “collect” eggs, make nests for them, egg hunt, list goes on. These can be used for counting, color and shape recognition, too. A very durable and versatile toy. I would recommend for any kids up to 3 but older kids will use them too. My only complaint is that the container is hard for them to open by themselves. Call me a crappy mother but my kids don’t need more reasons to bug me. ... show more

SCARY SCARY SCARY My grandson will be 2 soon.... He LOVED this! DAY 2 he was sitting and playing with it and I looked over the size, shape and the extreme slick plastic allowed an egg half to slide right in his mouth and we couldn't get it out!!!! RETURNING IMMEDIATELY

    • Many different uses!
I bought these almost a year ago for my preschool classroom during our eggs/chicks study. Since then I’ve used these with playdoh, in a sensory bin with a green rice filler, as a carpet puzzle activity and my own kids have used them as bath toys. I remember buying these because I love how they were stored in a plastic egg carton and the price was cheaper than competitors. If you are looking for a preschool aged child then get these and think “outside of the box” in way to use them! This would be a great Easter egg hunt activity as well. ... show more

    • Choking hazard for 2 year old...child needs to be monitored.
Returned due to not having as advertised matching pairs. Also they are choking hazard for my 2 year old since he can fit them in his mouth...If I had time I would give them to him to play with and then put away so I can watch him when he plays with him...SAHM with no time to do that here!

So, I love to cook and I use eggs a lot. Whether it's a fried egg topping, breakfast style, in baking, etc. Why am I saying all of this? Because my 2 year old daughter loves imitating me. Maybe too much. She learned how to grab eggs out of the fridge (before I put a lock on it) and I ended up with a horrible mess to clean... a few times. I have no clue why it took me so long to remember these awesome play eggs!! I was actually browsing for an Easter bunny plushie and this product popped up in the listings. It was like a ray of sunshine descended from the heavens to guide me back to the path of pure, clean toddler playtime. Not only are they perfect imitations of real eggs, they're educational too! And cleaning these up are sooooooo much easier than the former! My daughter is still playing with her new toy eggs as I write this, giving me the time I needed for an unusually lengthy review from me. So parents, don't skip out on this product!     • Toddler loves this toy.
I got this for my baby after gifting one to my nephew who loved his. My 1 year old also loves this toy and of course when your toddler will actually play with a toy instead of everything else, It's great! She figured it out quickly how to pull them apart and put some of the easier ones back together. It's great that it can teach shapes and colors as well as motor skills. I also have her help me put them all back in the carton because we're teaching her to put things away. The only thing that was a little weird was 2 of the eggs had the same color and shape in them. I didn't expect 1 random duplicate pair in the dozen though it's easy to have one little mistake out of 12, or maybe that's the way it's made, either way, it doesn't really matter, still, a great learning toy and lots of fun for the little ones. ... show more

Excellent toy! Just the right size for my almost year old granddaughter. She loves taking the eggs out and putting them back in the carton that is just like Mom's egg carton. She is interested in the centers and matching the pieces, but is still a little young for the complete job. This is a great "grow into more activities" toy--not one that will be discarded in a month when she is older. Prompt shipping, great packaging, well worth the money to see her joy. ... show more
