Soft, cushy knit. It's a nice midweight sweater, not too bulky, so you don't feel chunky in it. I love the brown color; it's a deep, dark chocolate that looks so rich. Button placement is SO well done; they didn't try to chintz out with less buttons, so no gapping when you put your shoulders back. Pretty Garden generally runs a little big, and I know that, so I ordered the XS, and it fits beautifully. I haven't laundered it yet, but I see they say hand wash. I don't hand wash anything, so it will be put in a mesh bag, and machine washed on gentle cycle, cool water, in my agitator-less washing machine. Super soft. Really nice button down sweater. I love how soft it is. It's just an easy throw on over anything and go sweater for me. Not too hot but still warm enough. I got the large so it was a little big which is not overly oversized. I am 5' 8" 145lb. It looks about like the picture fits the model. 5'2" 110 lbs, 30G. This is the perfect black button up cardigan I've been looking for! Can be dressed up and dressed down. I machine washed it one (buttoned up, inside out, hot water & heat) and it didn't damage or shrink at all. I'm a true small but buy a lot of mediums to be comfy and have room for my chest. It is noticably baggy on me but not frumpy, looks cute. A little on the long side (covers my butt) but I don't mind, that just makes it extra warm. If you are in between sizes, I'd say size down if you want a snug fit or size up if you want baggy fit. ... show more

Soft and cozy, unfortunately it does not wear well. It pils up terribly-have to sweater shave after each wear. I will probably turn it into a lounge sweater because it looks so bad after a few times wearing it.

I am tall and this sweater fits well - sleeves are long enough. Beautiful rich color. Warm but not too hot. The buttons are nice sized. Plenty thick. You can wear alone or layer.
