  • Pretend play gold
This register is fun and can be a great pretend play and educational tool. Without the batteries the money draw can still be opened, but with the batteries, you get a calculator and a microphone/speaker system for "paging" customer or employees to the front! There is also a slot for a card that beeps when you run it as an extra little pretend play bonus. It does have an auto shutoff after a while being inactive to save batteries. The unit comes with $1s, $10s, $20s (not really sure why they didn't do $1, $5, $10 instead) and pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. The coins actually sound metallic and clink nicely against each other. The coins do a good job of staying in their compartments when the unit is tipped over. The bills do shuffle around on you. The calculator has basic math functions and my only complaint with it is there is not a clear to clear "results". There is a clear however to clear mistyped numbers. ... show more

  • Overall Great Educational & Pretend Play Toy
Very cute educational toy for kids. I mostly chose this item because my son is obsessed with addition & subtraction lately. I thought he’d appreciate the calculator feature most of all, & he does. The toy is very simple to use. The buttons don’t stick. Along with addition & subtraction, there’s multiplication & division as well. The little credit card is just for the pretend play aspect. The microphone is a little sensitive. It can go in & out depending on how hard you press the button/the angle of the position (since the microphone is flexible.) The microphone can detach as well, so just be aware of that. My son went to pick up the register by the microphone & it came right out- which is probably a good feature so the microphone doesn’t actually get damaged. The coins are plastic as expected, but great for learning. All money has accurate imaging. The dollars are a little bit of a pain to get out of the drawer without crumpling them a little but that’s also to be expected. The button to open the drawer makes a little ding sound, & opens it smoothly. Overall, a great product but could maybe be priced down a little. I do wish there were 5$ bills included but the register would’ve had to be a bit larger to accommodate more. I would recommend it this for educational purposes & pretend play for sure. ... show more

  • Fun and Educational
My kids love this, particularly the microphone, so be prepared for a lot of noise. This is a great tool for teaching money counting and management without the kids even realizing they're learning. I'd absolutely recommend.

  • Works great
Pretty good deal here! Coms with a good amount.of money so your kids can practice counting money while.they play. My kids love their food toys so this was a good edition to add with what they already had. They have had a blast. The calculator works just like it would ringing up a customer at the store. The drQer can open and there is even a microphone so if you need to.call for a clean up on aisle 4.. you can do that!! Too cute. My kids loved it. Definitely recommend. Your kiddos will have a blast and learn at the same time. ... show more

  • Awesome toy cash register
This child size cash register is very very nice. It's a sturdy and durable. This is a great way to teach children about money. You can teach them what each bill signifies as well as the coins. Of course as a parent you would want to watch them at all times. Simply because of the size of the coins they can be a choke hazard. I love the sound of the buttons as the child pushes them. It's so realistic. This was very easy to assemble. All of the keys work properly. ... show more

  • Very cute! Will help learn numbers
The media could not be loaded. I noticed our kiddo taking a huge interest in the cash register at the pretend diner on one of outings. I also noticed him pointing out numbers and taking an interest in them lately. I think this thing is absolutely adorable. A few things to note: the mic is a little finicky and you have to be really close to it and hold down the button firmly to make it work, and it's not super reliable; the cash bills only come in 1's, 10's, and 20's, so may not be best pick if you're looking for something to seriously dive into education on money; I couldn't get the C (clear) button to work on mine I love that the coins and bills look real, the calculator works, the card makes a sound when you swipe it, it comes with a mic, and the register dings when you open it. I also love that it isn't outrageously huge or heavy so it can be stored in his toy box easily. It shipped and arrived really quickly. I think this will be an awesome toy to play pretend pizza parlor with and might even have some early educational value with number recognition and what not. I think $32 is kind of expensive for a toy, but this is pretty cool and comes with a lot. ... show more

  • Great learning tool and fun
Our five-year old grandchildren twins first stop when they come over is the toy room in our house. They almost always dig out the plastic food and make Pappaw a variety of weird - but imaginative - food combinations which they feed me. Several months ago, I bought a stack of $1 funny-money bills and started "buying" their culinary creations. I would then let them in turn try to use their earnings to negotiate the purchase of candy, malts, marbles, etc. from me. The boy twin is showing great mathematical skills for his age, and this will further both of their knowledge of math, the negotiation process, and purchasing products for money. This is a great set and even if it doesn't hold up to preschool sibling disagreements for long, it will have been worth the cost. ... show more
