I went ahead and built it by the front door ( where this furniture was supposed to go anyway and where the package was delivered). Very clear and easy instructions. Pre-drilled hole lined up perfectly and made mounting easily. Assembly time by myself: 50min.(Will be faster if you do it with somebody) Would buy again! Would recommend! I purchased this along with the matching coat rack with cubby holes. I am SO glad that I did! Both pieces are great quality, super nice looking, and sturdy. We live in a small cape cod that has a small living room, so we didn't want to load it up with too much furniture, but with never using the front door, no one ever has a good place to put their shoes, purses, coats, hats, etc.. So I figured this would be a great attempt to keep the living room a little more tidy! We do have a very tiny closet by the front door, but it is mostly storage for winter items. I would definitely recommend both products from this company! The worst part was waiting the few extra days for it to be delivered (we get spoiled when things are listed as "prime").

First of all it took forever to arrive. As a person who is constantly putting furniture/toys together, the instructions were difficult to follow. The material is cheap cheap but for the price what do you expect. The cubby holes themselves are kind of more on the smaller side. I have small children and a husband with a big foot. So I flipped the cubby holes so the ones on top would be smaller and the ones on the bottom would be bigger. As soon as iI was finished putting it together I noticed a smal scratch in the top of it. Luckily I was able to cover it with the marker. The reason I'm giving this 3 stars instead of two is because it more sturdy than I thought it would be. I don't know that I'd buy it again but I know I wouldn't recommend it .

Great shoe rack for the money. backing and shelving is a bit flimsy but holds shoes very well. I wear a size 13 shoe and can get both of my shoes in a single slot if I put the tops together and face toes at opposite ends. Naturally I share this with my woman because no man has enough shoes to fill this entire thing. She fills up the top two rows and still complains because she cant put the rest of her shoes from the closet in this rack to show off. Construction is pretty sturdy, putting it together you can tell where the weak spots are that will fail eventually over time if its moved a lot. If you don't plan on moving it this thing would last a life time. Goes together in about 30 min if you have a drill to screw in each of the screws and bolts.

You would be better off buying a Walmart display piece than to buy this. -It took over a week to get this package. - 45 minutes to put together. -The top had multiple scratches and the cubbies are all chipped. -The cubbies are not secured to anything. They slide around and are extremely flimsy. -The black vinyl is peeling off in multiple places. -EXTREMELY cheap in appearance and overall construction. Save your money, folks. I wish I would have.

We have had our shoe cubbie bench for awhile now, almost half a year. It's really well built and very sleek looking. But good grief it absorbs the smells of shoes in a bad way! We used to just line up our shoes by the door. Never noticed a smell and no one in our house really has a foot odor problem. But now there is a funk smell by the door because the wood is absorbing the smells. So I would say that if someone has odor problems this may not be a wise choice as it is giving off odor when we don't have odor problems. Other than that I like it a lot. We can control the odor with baking soda and odor neutralizers. It's just a weird thing I noticed and I wanted to be honest about our experience with it. I have the nose of a hound and bad smells offend me very easily so perhaps that is why I noticed. I don't think anyone else in our house has noticed or paid attention.

I bought both- tall and long! And I love them. I left more comments on tall one but all in all great purchase! Fits my husbands 10.5 size shoes - kinda like in shoe box. But it does job!!! My shoes I can fit even 2 at the time, 3 pairs of flats and kids/baby shoes 4 in one cubby! I'd buy them both again.
