I bought this because in the spring and summer, when it gets warmer, if I put on a long-sleeved robe or longer, heavier robe after taking a shower, I instantly start sweating again! What a waste! So, I wanted the shorter sleeves, shorter hem, and lighter fabric. This has been all of these things for me, and is thus exactly what I wanted. I am giving a four instead of a five only because the fabric isn't super comfy cozy, but that was not what I was looking for. I don't think I'd get the lightweight feel out of it if it were. The fabric isn't uncomfortable by any means, but isn't a "soft" fabric. It's slightly stiff and I don't want to say papery, but just not very soft. As I said, that was okay with me, but I'm telling this because this is a review, and some may wish for that. Regardless, for what I was looking for, this has been the perfect buy, and now that it IS spring and we are getting 85 degree days, I have been thinking about just how perfect this robe has turned out to be for my purpose.

I was hoping it would be thicker and softer but it does the job. It isn’t uncomfortable or anything but I think I was hoping for a different material. It’s a nice length and has good coverage, it dries me up afterwards too. Just a little thin and flimsy for what I’m looking for.

I love the feel of this! It’s not heavy at all, very lightweight, it is a little see-through but it’s a robe that you wear inside your home. When I wear this robe makes me feel like I’m in a spa area.

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to get this… a simple, white waffle robe. For years I have held onto a super-thick fuzzy bulky soft robe. Sounds cozy, right? But I never wore it. It has remained on the hook in my closet and I’d guess I’ve worn it maybe twice in the past ten years. After a cruise last year in which I wore the supplied waffle robe and really enjoyed it, I have wanted a thinner, smaller robe to wear at home. Mostly my hubby and I put on street clothes to come downstairs for morning coffee but if I happen to have an early appointment, putting this light robe on over PJ’s just to make the coffee will be a time-saver. While I do not typically order an XXL size, have a larger-than-usual robe insures that it will be plenty large enough to fit over my clothes or PJ’s, and no need for the most aesthetic fit. This fabric is thinner than other waffle fabrics, so is perfect for nearly year round in the South. It has one tie that threads through belt loops on the outside, but no inner ribbon tie. It extends to my knees so is shorter than some robes, but this could also pass as a beach coverup or spa robe. It looks well made, the seams are neat, straight and no loose threads.
