The alternator is currently working just fine. We'll see down the road if there's any issues. My original alternator was Bosch and the back plate on the replacement alternator did not match up with the connectors. Had to swap out the back plate off of my old alternator to put on to the new one so it would work. Other than that, it's working just fine ... show more

So I was trying to contact the store that sold me this but the option is very difficult with Amazon they only want me to label as refund or return. I just want to get an alternator that works. I correctly connected the wires to my mercedez e320 1999 today. It only has two wires leading to them a thick positive and thin negative I believe that’s the thin one. So I connected it and then put the band back on the pulleys. As I was connecting my batteries the ground started sparking and melting my negative terminal on battery. Ok I check alternator nothing is touching against a ground or negative on back of alternator so I wiggle them and try again. My luck it turns on ok I let it sit there for 5 min and notice smoke coming from negative terminal I pay no mind. So I drive and it turns off on me writhin 5 seconds I hit no bumps just flat drive. While I’m on drive I park it take out key and turn on again ok I’m going to park my car it turns off again and smoke and burning on my negative terminal start. Great I was sent a broken and defaulted alternator. And it might have done damage to my car I know the battery took a toll I just want a perfectly working alternator can you fix this issue ? ... show more
