My boyfriend likes liquid soap so we have a dispenser of that next to the sink. I find it quite drying to my hands so I wanted to give these little soaps a try. I really enjoy them. The scents are absolutely wonderful and the soap is very moisturizing. They make the bathroom smell lovely. These soaps are quite small. They are guest soaps but that suits me just fine. I put one or two in a small soap dish and use them to wash my hands. They are very long-lasting and creamy. Now, they wouldn't be good as a shower soap. In the shower, I use the large Pre De Provence soaps and have been a loyal fan of those for years. That's why I decided to give these guest soaps a try next to the bathroom sink. I'm really glad I did. The scent name is carved on the back of each of the guest soaps so you can make note of which ones are your favorite. I will most like purchase these again for the bathroom sink. Having a choice is nice and Pre De Provence makes the BEST soaps. ... show more

Purchased this set for two reasons...first I wanted to try several scents of this soap, and secondly, when traveling, I hate using horrible hotel soaps which irritate my skin, and wanted to add a little comfort and luxury to my travels. The perfume from these soaps is amazing, It just flooded out and hit me as I was opening the package...even before I had even opened the plastic bag and beautiful storage box inside. I loved all the scents, which I did not expect, as I'm more of a floral girl, and did not think I would like the sage, verbena or coconut much...but they were all beautiful. I am planning on using traditional Savon de Marseilles soap for daily use, to see if it will help my dry itchy skin, as I expect the Pre de Provence soaps may be a little drying, but absolutely perfect for use while traveling...and of course don't count towards your 'liquids' allowance, leaving more room in that quart Baggie for other stuff! Ordinary shower gels only leave you feeling clean for a very short while, but I find traditional soaps give you a clean feeling that lasts for hours....as a nurse working 12 hour shifts and getting exposed to unpleasant smells and body fluids, I really, really appreciate that lasting feeling of clean, and it is also so lovely to use when I get home from a long shift and need to feel like a girl again :) ... show more

    • Smells very nice. Subtle and discrete. But SO tiny!!

These little soaps smell wonderful. I live in the Southwest, where sage is a scent we have a lot. It says "spa". If you put one of these soaps on your bathroom counter (or in a guest bathroom), you will get modest, not overwhelming sage scent in the room. I find the smell very pleasant and relaxing, and this soap does not pour it on. It doesn't smell perfumey or artificial (even though it may be). I appreciate the discretion used. These soaps are SO tiny, they really have virtually no value. They are perhaps, if I'm generous, 1.5" on a side. That's pretty puny. This is why I dock them one star...other than making a room smell nice, they would be very silly for showering (although the shower would smell nice) and they aren't really much for handwashing either. They serve their purpose for sure, but just a half inch or so bigger, and they'd have multiple purposes. ... show more

These soaps seem to be very nice and smell quite good too. It came in really nice packaging which I was quite happy to find seeing as some other reviews for this product depicted it otherwise. Though I was quite disappointed to find the soaps given didn’t match the soaps seem in the photos or description! In the description it states that in this box you will receive one rose petal, coconut, milk, lavender, verbena, honey almond, white gardena, sweet lemon, and sage soap. However I received all except for the last two on this list. Where I was supposed to receive a sage and a sweet lemon bar soap I received cucumber and linden. The soaps are nice and seem to be of good quality. But when it comes down to it I did not receive what I was supposed to. ... show more

These are divine. My budget doesn't allow as many indulgences as it once did (and hopefully will someday again), but these were a great value and deliciously scented. I placed them throughout my home to enjoy the fragrance in a light, not overpowering way. One thing I like about Pre de Provence is the complexity of their scents. If you go to TJ Maxx or Marshall's or a similar store and work your way down the soap or candle aisle, you notice lots of "one note" less expensive scents. But if you invest in a quality brand, you will be rewarded with depth and character of scent, and this little gift pack allows you to do just that on a budget. I bought the nine pack of assorted scents. I was looking forward to trying all nine scents as listed in the description. But three of the scents listed were missing and substituted with three other scents that were not mentioned or listed. The coconut, milk, and sage were missing from the box that I received. So I did not receive the sample scents as advertised or described. They are expensive and the bars are small. Buyer beware... ... show more
