    • The most important part is the traction strips and they immediately started peeling off

Absolute garbage. The traction strips started peeling away before the first job was done. and when doing the first job the strips didn't hold down properly so you have to keep constant pressure so it doesn't slip.

While the rails are straight and easy to connect - I have had major issues with the glued on plastic strips that the saw rides on. Almost immediately the ends started peeling up. A few months after purchase, in the midst of one somewhat critical cut the end of one of the glide strips got hung up on the saw shoe making it bind up and mar the edge of the wood I was cutting. The plastic kerf strips are also loose and fragile. I assumed that those would be a wear item, but not this quickly. I now mostly use the saw for breaking down plywood into manageable sizes so it can be recut on my table saw. This wasn’t the original reason I invested in a track saw. It’s just the reality that it’s not accurate enough for my needs to be used as a one step ripping solution. ... show more

These tracks worked perfect with my dewalt track saw. It’s high quality great value. I was skeptical about its ability to not move while ripping 2x8s down. Man it made a believer out of me. Perfect and accurate cuts every time. It’s a must buy.

You would think, for +$117, a simple aluminum extrusion would be assembled correctly. Not only were the plastic end caps simply stuck on and fell off by turning the rails upside down, but the hardware that joins the two was almost lost on account that the plastic bag that held the Allen wrench was open and cheaply taped to the box. This is PATHETIC. I have to keep it to properly use the DeWalt track saw. It's very much an insult for the price. ... show more

I have been using the tracks connected for ripping strips off of 8' sheets. The alignment between the two tracks just isn't very good. Every time the saw passes over the junction it is a fight to get it past, to initiate and to leave. I probably need to spend some more time trying different permutations of alignment but I shouldn't have to. ... show more

I initially bought these tracks with an open mind, mainly because they were more affordable than the competitors. While they do need improvement in several areas, with some extra setup time, you can achieve precise results. I work on high-end projects and have successfully made cuts on extremely expensive materials without any issues. I rarely use clamps, yet the tracks have stayed in place perfectly—though I am careful when working. With patience and practice, these tracks can be very effective. If they were all I could afford, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. However, today I’m on Amazon to upgrade. ... show more
