These appear to be the exact same product as the Makita replacement blades, for such a good savings. I see no difference in the two except the price. I would buy these again.

Rough grind on the edges out of the box, wire edge left on blades. I lapped them just a bit and that helped. Cut ok regardless. Have video review on them NelsonStudios on the tubes

These knives worked perfectly on my Makita planer. They last a very long time and when they start to get dull you just turn them around and use the opposing side. It's the best idea in planers. No aligning knives, just drop in, tighten and go. This price is much cheaper than original equipment and I'd have to say work as good or maybe even better than the original equipment. ... show more

I'm revising my review. I originally gave this 5 stars. After several uses I'm starting to notice small streaks and grooves in planed wood. I make furniture and am not running hundreds of board feet through the planer. So don't expect to have a consistent glass smooth surface after planning. This could also be an issue with the Makita planer in general. I've had mine for a couple of years. I would not buy one again. ... show more
