The media could not be loaded. Item shipped and arrived four days prior to projected delivery date. I ordered this generator on a Tuesday, after finding no generators were available locally. The January Ice storm was forecasted to hit TN on Saturday, January 24th. Projected delivery was Wednesday the 28th. But I ordered it anyway as we live in the woods at the end of the power distribution grid. To my complete enjoyment, my two German Shepherds woke me at 8 AM Saturday morning... I made it to the front door just in time see a young lady plop this generator on my front porch and march away. In a fortuitous turn of events, I had the day prior located generator cords that I had made for the ice storm of 1994, so I was somewhat ready. I brought the generator inside, unpacked it and breezed through the owners manual... I am pretty familiar with generators having retired from a long career of maintaining generators at remote telecom sites. The biggest prep with this generator were the small shipping brackets on the bottom of the generator. What a pain. The four inside bolts are hard to reach as there is not enough room to get a socket on them, an open end wrench is the only thing that will work and one is supplied but i used my own. And unless you have very strong fingers, these bolts have to be wrenched to whole way out, and you are lucky to get a quarter turn on a wrench due to the tight quarters. But after that, things went well. Be prepared to have a quart of 10W-30 oil on hand to fill the crank case. You need about two third of that quart, roughly 20 ounces. An offset funnel is supplied for oil fill, its awkward but it works. I filled it up with gas and it started right up on the third pull. (!) I ran my double male ended extension cord from the generator to an outlet near the TV and wood stove blower motor circuit and waited for the power to drop. At 4:02AM Sunday morning we lost power. Trees were falling everywhere, sounding like a war zone. I killed the main breaker, shut off all 220V breakers and tried to start the generator. It was so cold that you could feel the thickness of the oil in the crankcase, but it started on the second pull. Be sure to have your cord disconnected prior to starting. The choke lever is a little awkward, a little hard to find and feels a bit fragile but you get used to it. Once running smooth, I plugged in my extension cord into a 120V generator outlet and then went inside to plug it into the wall outlet. Twala, we ended up having power to the wood stove blower, TV, refridgerator, microwave, a small space heater and more than enough lights. All running smooth. We did turn off the space heater when using the Microwave just in case it proved to be to much of a load. We ended up using this generator non stop for over four full days, even doing "in flight" refueling methods. We ran the power cord through a window and used painters tape to keep cold air from coming in through the window crack, this worked nicely. One time at night in the wee hours I lost track of run time and it ran out of fuel...outside temp was in the low teens. I refueled the generator and it started back up on the first pull. And it pulls pretty easily. One thing to note is that this generator is a bit on the loud side, so I moved it to behind my truck about 25 feet away from the window and this proved to be the hot setup for sound level. The exhaust output port on the generator muffler is threaded, so additional mufflers could probably be added with minimum hassle. Note that all generator outputs are 120V. I had it in my head the the twist lock plug was 220V but it is 120V. This little generator made it just in time to make this ice storm a whole lot easier to deal with and I would but it again. This may not be a Honda or Predator unit, but it makes just as good power - and better priced.. As for run times, this of course depends on the load. We averaged around 5.5 to 6.5 hours. We could get close to 8 hours run time when the TV was turned off. Not too shabby. I think you will be satisfied. And I really need to mention the seller, who got this shipped out quickly! Thank you.

I bought this generator and it turned out to be one of the best purchases I’ve made. It really helped my family during Hurricane Melissa when we lost power. This generator is very powerful for its size and handled more than I expected. I was able to power a refrigerator downstairs, TVs upstairs, fans, and charge laptops without any problems. With everything plugged in, it ran for about 8 hours, which was impressive. When running with a lighter load, it lasts even longer. It starts easily and runs steadily. For anyone looking for a reliable generator for storms or power outages, this one is definitely worth it. It gave us peace of mind when we really needed it.

This high-power portable generator has exceeded my expectations. It is very powerful, capable of powering several appliances and tools at the same time without problem. The engine is reliable and easy to maintain, and although it is a little heavy, the wheels make it easy to move. Ideal for emergencies, camping or work on site. Definitely an investment that is worth it if you need reliable and continuous energy.

Honestly, I’m baffled by the majority of bad reviews on this although it seems like a good portion of them seem to be due to shipping damage so I guess personally I’m not sure if I’d get something on one star if it was damaged during shipping as I mean quite frankly, I know it’s packaged incredibly well which in my opinion does not put it on the seller whatsoever there’s literally no way of determining if you’re gonna get a nice guy who takes real good caution of it or the guy that’s gonna roll it down a hill but regardless of that I just hit 120 hour mark and decided that I’d leave my review and for a measly about $275 shipped to my door. I am genuinely blown away I couldn’t be more impressed with this generator. I mean for one about six months ago I had the Wen open frame extremely similar type generator, which is from make a big namebrand company and also was almost $400 and that thing was incredibly hard to start was much louder and also bigger with less power and personally it was a piece of junk at 90 hours, which is already less than what I have on this I went out to start at one morning, and the poor rope is completely locked up, which means the motor was locked up which I had a feeling cause it was always hot and the fact is I guess what I’d consider a generic brand generator is three times is good for half the money makes it even that much more great. I think the noise level is honestly right on the money for an open frame and inverter generator which I’m out living on my own land in the middle of nowhere so a noise really isn’t an issue and personally I almost prefer open frames because there’s just so much easier to access and see everything versus one of my other enclosed models from a namebrand company. I mean it literally took me 45 minutes, maybe an hour just removing plastic pieces even get to the carburetor on it, which speaking of hours that I have on this, the fact that it even also has a display screen is a huge bonus in my opinion as well as the namebrand similar when I mentioned as well did not have one and the vast majority of these especially cheaper ones don’t have anything which I always have to add my own aftermarket hour meter which not sure how much I trust those and I think it’s very important you know play overall our runtime on your generator just simply for maintenance more than anything. Now I have a couple of really handy tips for people wanting to make this an even better generator as first of all I will say to tad bit strange and I didn’t even know it until after I got it that it’s not a standard RV 30 amp plug not a big deal luckily I already had an adapter second of all the basically whole front lower plastic cover is essentially you might as well just leave it off and considering that’s where you drain the oil which as I’m sure others have experienced honestly it is which seems to be convincing with a lot of generators. Just not in the greatest spot at all but for just a measly 10 bucks you can add an extension hose, which you can see in my pictures which not only allows you to drain it very easily wherever you want, but also requires no tools whatsoever after installing it of course to drain your oil and then second speaking a noise if it does happen to be an issue for you or if you plan on running this inside of like some sort of enclosure, it is very easy to add an exhaust extension which you can see from my two pictures the one showing the longer pipe is just kind of an example of what you would use to run it out of an enclosure clearly you’d want a longer piece and then the second one I was just kind of trying out and I’ve actually ended up leaving on because it genuinely not only makes it. I would imagine at least 10 to 15 dB quieter but more importantly at least in my case where and how I use this generator, the front panel of it is essentially facing where I’m at, which means the exhaust comes out of the side of it and again personally it’s not super loud but with it coming right out the side, it definitely makes it more noticeable so by the way just simple standard diesel generator exhaust tubing is exactly what you want to use as it fits perfectly inside the muffler after you remove the resonator, which I always remove mine personally because I have no plans on ever going to a state park with this and the diesel piping fits right in it and it’s super affordable for as many feet of it as you want, but if you’re simply trying to quiet it down, I purchased a five dollar elbow and what you see in the picture is just a OEM muffler from a diesel heater I had laying around which they’re not that great but I have sense. Ordered the upgraded versions they sell for about 18 bucks. They actually have baffles in them which I expect will make it even quieter, but I tried taking a video to show the sound difference, but it’s just much too difficult to even remotely tell on camera, but I mean you can essentially add an elbow so the exhaust runs behind it out of the way of wherever you’re at and a muffler for $20-$25 and I mean I am the farthest person at all that’s picky about noise I mean prime example I even had this muscle laying around because I don’t even use it on my diesel heater and this just makes a huge difference and takes 15 minutes to do and then one last thing is we all know it doesn’t have wheels or anything so personal I live in the desert so I needed something kind of more off-road capable you could say so luckily I already had four of these bigger believe they’re eight or 10 inch castor wheels and then I simply went to Harbor freight and bought think of the $14 they call like a moving dolly removed the original little tiny wheels put the upgraded wheels on it. I also purchased the additional $10 handle for it and then I purchased. I believe this one 8 foot long one 1x1 piece of wood at Home Depot literally like six bucks I believe as you know on the moving cards the openness center and that size wood is the perfect height level to match the end of it so it’s perfectly level across the board now I can literally dolly this thing around anywhere I want super easily and of course, depending on your situation if you’re just trying to move it around like your garage or anything, the stock wheels, the dolly might work for you. If not, you can just get the even cheaper like 4 inch wheels and originally I added eyelet each side and I was gonna somehow like maybe tie it down but I ultimately just put a screw on each side kitty corner from each other, where there’s already a hole in the cross beam of the frame and it’s super sturdy festival. It takes 10 seconds to take them not if I need to move it off of course I’ve also seen other people by like the $26 generator wheel kit here on Amazon and then use like a 2 x 4 across each side but seemed a little too intricate for me and I prefer this anyway but I mean bottom line for the money. You just simply can’t go wrong I mean especially if you just either are using a generator for backup emergency power at home or maybe for back up power on your property if you don’t get enough solar basically any type of light use I would probably genuinely choose this over just about any other generator, considering, especially the fact I can buy two of them for basically the price of any other. We’ve been comparable generator on the market. You don’t get your own. It’s pretty no frills, but it always starts in one or two poles tops and also has a really long run time in my opinion as well with a nice good old-fashioned manual gas gauge on top. And truthfully, I only purchased this thing because I was in need of a generator as one I had finally quit on me and I genuinely just wasn’t even remotely sure what I was gonna go with and well I couldn’t keep wasting time trying to figure that out, so I saw this for 260 bucks and figured it’ll for sure. Get me by at minimum and then be probably a great backup generator and what’s to say I still haven’t made my mind up on what main generator I want to get because I’ve just been using this baby and I will say you know noise isn’t an issue for you and you don’t need to mess with the exhaust or need a cart. No big deal but I think the oil change hose for $10 is an absolute must purchase. I would probably just order the same time you ordered the generator simply because if not every time you drain the oil you guaranteed to spill a good amount and with this $10 oil extension hose, which by the way, it is an M1 bolt pattern you can drain it easily into a empty container no problem and what I like about it too is no tools are required as sometimes I’m going to change it and even though it’s just 110 mm as we all know 10 mm like to disappear and well having no tools required as very nice
