It doesnt go above 255 in temp so you need something with higher heat this isnt it. It also gives off the smell of rotten eggs to me but i think its from the rubber from the stand as its heating up while in the stand. Takes a little to figure out how to work the timer and temp settings but for the price it works as it should. ... show more

CONTEXT I decided to start making block print shirts to sell without knowing exactly what I needed. I learned I needed to heat set my prints so I found this one (because the heavy-duty/commercial ones on Amazon had terrible reviews). PROS - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and it will be easy to use! It's really intuitive once you read the instructions, otherwise, it can be confusing. - It's nice to be able to just set it on my shirt and turn my mind off for a few seconds until it beeps, LOL - The gold color I got matches my branding perfectly (major plus) - The heat plate is quite large, which is nice because you don't have to go over two parts (unless your design is massive) - It comes with a pad to put under your shirt/product, which I love! Don't have to worry about heating up my couch or table, etcetera. It also comes with a heat-safe base for the press that can be used while it's hot! CONS - It takes FOREVER to heat up. It goes really quick until about 200 and then it goes super slow after that. The closer it gets to 340 (F) the slower it goes. NOT ideal. - Once it does heat up and I use it, the temperature goes BACK DOWN! And then I get the "H" which indicates that it is heating up. It's the strangest thing (and is kind of annoying), but oh well? - The safety base I mentioned as a pro is also a con because it gets REALLY HOT so you can't really touch it. Therefore, I recommend making sure you have it in a good spot before you begin pressing your shirts. OVERALL I do like this press and think it is perfect for what I need right now! I recommend it to anyone who is heat pressing shirts/products personally, or if you are just starting to dabble into making shirts commercially. ... show more

Well I tried to contact the seller for resolution but everytime I tried to find contact info I was sent to a chat window with Amazon, so I guess this is where I need to turn to, to see if they'll offer a solution. I got this machine end of October, or beginning of November, I didn't get to use it till January but the first time I used it, it smelled as though something was burning. So I thought maybe because it's new, it'll will just do that. Then second time I used it, it didn't seem to heat the whole bottom plate to the set temp which messed up 5 shirts and allot of iron on vinyl. None of which were cheap. Then the 3rd time I tried to use this heat press, about a week ago. The cord has some kind of short in it. If you move it while it's on it'll shut off, then you have to move the cord around to find a spot for it to turn back on and hope it stays on. Then naturally I looked up returning this item, only to see that the window time to return was up on January 31st. So I'm hoping they'll read this review and reach out. But haven't had much luck with other sellers standing behind their products. So we'll see. If they do, I'll update this review with the info, positive or negative. Thanks, Tami Hill ... show more

I used this press to make 180+ shirts vinyl and sublimation. I've had no problem with it at all. It heats evenly and I'm assuming pretty close to accurately cause I haven't had any problem burning anything on getting anything to stick.

I really debated getting this one because it's not the cricut brand and being raised with, "You get what you pay for" often makes my shopping choices hard. So, I read the reviews and they were decent. Discarding ones that had to do with shipping. I saw that I could return it also so.... I bought it and I could not be happier!! It's digital and so easy to read and use, heats in an instant, my products adhere like store bought and look so professionally done. I am beyond pleased with my heat press. As other reviews have mentioned, there are marks on the iron’s surface where the iron has rested on the rubber-edged holder. I don’t know whether that’s causing my problem or not, but I can’t seem to get my iron-ons to stick evenly and most don’t stick at all. I’m new to this though, so maybe it’s user error or the cheap iron-on vinyls I bought from China. I don’t know how to test the iron to see if it’s an even temperature. I’m just going to have to return this one and try a different brand and hope for the best. ... show more

Just got this in so only used it twice so far. First time use worked perfectly, no hiccups. Second time use, it kind of froze on the last setting used and wouldn’t let me adjust the temp or time. It is a touch screen so I kept pressing down on the temp for 2 seconds as indicated but nothing was happening so I had to turn it off and on a couple times until it finally started letting me adjust temp and time again.
