Came shipped as described, was in box and in perfect order. Added the oil furnished with the generator, started it let run a few minutes. Put it back in the box for handling and went camping for 5 days in our camp trailer. Used the generator every day for one thing or another it performed perfectly. I live on a horse ranch in the mountains of Northern California. Our power goes out all the time. I have a large 240 volt generator that can run my well and booster pumps but it consumes fuel at a prodigious rate and is very noisy. This Powermate PM2000i is used at my house rather than the barn and easily powers the lights, fridge, freezer and a small booster pump that supplies water to the house. I admit that when any of the motors start tha lights dim and the UPS on my computer kicks in for 1 or 2 seconds but this little guy picks up the load and keeps on going. I had tested but not actually used this generator until a week ago. We had a huge snow and wind storm and the power was off for 5 1/2 days. Since this generator is so fuel thrifty (0.1 Gallon/hour) I started it every morning at 6am and ran it until 9pm. It started every monring with one or two pulls of the cord in freezing temperatures. That was about 80 hours of run time without a hitch. It is so quiet that when it was running in the garage with the door open you could barely hear it. I used to run the big generator only to keep the fridge and freezer cold since it was so noisy and used so much fuel but this little one does the same job without a problem.
