This was more user error (not reading the fine print) but the battery only lasted 6-8 months. After it started majorly slowing down, I looked into and saw that we had been leaving the battery plugged in for long periods of time, which is harmful for the battery. I purchased this for my granddaughter’s second birthday. It look my son mechanically inclined son about an hour to put it together. My granddaughter loves it, and wants to go for a drive everyday. Works well and is sturdy. I am very happy with this purchase.

Easy to assemble late Christmas Eve by two exhausted parents…FYI the steering column comes taped to another part of the car, it’s kind of hidden. My son is 5 and 36lbs. The battery lasts a few days which is great. He loves it and it will fit him a long time. Some brands have the remote but the Power Wheel Jeep was rated best for longevity so we went with this one. ... show more

I'm not sure if it's just his age, my little one is 2 and he loves ride on toys at others houses. He was super excited at first but now he seems almost scared of it!!! It was quite the project to put together so be prepared for that. Is taking my little one some time to understand the forward and backwards lever and what that means but I hope with taking care of it, that it will last for years to come!! ... show more

Our age 3 grandson was jumping with joy and anticipation while helping to assemble his first car. He has seen all the Toy Story videos, read the books, and immediately identifies with the supplies stickers and colors. Its power and speed is ideal for a beginner. We have had to order LED headlights, tail lights, water proof toggle switches, horn button, and motorcycle horn to satisfy the young male expectations. Best to have included these with the kit. The plastic wheels slip on slightly wet grass or any hint of mud. Spraying them with four coats of Black Flex-Seal rubber to the tread helps. ... show more

This thing comes packed very well in a sturdy box. Though my box was missing a couple of pieces, PW Customer Service was very professional in handling the mistake. I received the pieces within a week of making the call. The process was not as painful as I thought it would be. Based on that alone, I give 5stars. The instructions are quite detailed. Assembling the rear fender flares is tricky if you don't realize you need to line up the notches with the body first. I needed to use longer screws to attach flares to running boards as the screws PW provided were too short and would not tighten. The Jeep is plastic unibody. It's sturdy enough, but the rear axle design could be strengthened up a bit. The motors are strong enough to go up inclines. I used the cavity under the seat to add a second battery to triple the run time between charges. I also added lights into the rollbar. Overall, I would absolutely buy it again. ... show more
