  • Kit works as expected! - nice slow start too so it doesn't spin the tires so much
Color: Fit for Milwaukee
The kit works great so far! My kid rode it around for a long time and is significantly faster. Just wanted to give a heads up if you can't use the existing module on the power wheels you can wire up the accelerator pedal to the red wire of the 2 wire pair of the potentiometer. The kit does not come with directions so I figured I would put it out there how to do it for those that may not know. Just snip the red wire somewhere in the middle and then take the two wires that come from the pedal and connect them to either side of the red wire you just cut. I bought this kit because the module was fried on the power wheels from being left outside all winter. so it wasn't as simple as just sending power to the module and everything would work. ... show more

  • If you like to roll the dice, this product is great for you!
Color: Fit for Milwaukee
It was a beautiful day today so i wired this up in the back yard with my 4 month old next to me. I did it just as the diagram shows and turned it on. The metal speed adjustment box started smoking and I felt like something sketchy was coming next... and it did. I dove to sheild my daughter like a superhero dad and BANG!!! the metal box explodes and sounded like a gunshot. My neighbors were having a graduation party in their backyard and when the box exploded they yelled "what do you have going on over there?" I was going to reply "my son's powerwheels just blew up." But I knew how stupid that would sound, and they probably wouldn't even believe me. So I didn't say a thing. Now my neighbors probably think im a weirdo blowing stuff up next door. This thing has a fuse which I thought would blow before the box would explode. But it didn't. If you want to try it out, wear safety goggles, and keep the kids away! ... show more

  • Don't trust the negative reviews.
Color: Fit for Milwaukee
This does absolutely what it's designed to do. People don't understand the controls of the voltage cutoff but it's such a generic part that if you can't learn to Google instructions you're probably not the person who should be buying this product. This doesn't take a ton of electrical experience to put together. The wiring diagram shown in the photos is 100% correct. You may need to have a multimeter handy to calibrate the voltage by holding down the left button, mine came in the box set correct but worth it to double check. Make sure you press the left button twice to set the cutoff to 16.5 or higher or it may damage your Milwaukee battery I set it to 16.5 to be safe. I think the default 2v difference is great but you can change that as well by double clicking the right button that makes it so you need to have at least 2v more than the cutoff to bring power to the system. Hold the right button if you want to set a delay in minutes for when it brings power back to the system. Not really needed for this use case I figured. Again great all in one product. You can save money by buying it all separately, the main reason I went with this is because of the case it comes with as well as just having everything in one order. ... show more

  • voltage regulator doesn't work
Color: Fit for Milwaukee
Edited- Seller contacted me and offered full refund, so 2 stars went to 4 stars for customer service. I just installed this on my kids jetson she got for Christmas. I bought this kit for the low voltage battery protector and moreso the voltage regulator so I could keep the output at 12v for now instead of 20 volts. When wired up on the bench, everything works fine with the output dialed to 12v showing on the little round display and 12V out confirmed with my multimeter. But when I plug the output to the car, voltage jumps up to 20.3V and can't be dialed down with the knob. I also tried it again on the bench and interestingly the voltage also jumps up from 12V to 20.3V if I unplug the round display in the kit. In short, the adjustment knob is useless. Otherwise the car works, just at a fast speed. ... show more

  • Missing a wire.
Color: Fit for Milwaukee
Thanks to other reviews I was able to set the voltage, I was having issues with the reset timeout delay. I am also missing the connector wire for the voltmeter that I saw in other product photos, the connector on the voltmeter is very small and difficult to secure wires to without the missing connection wire. ... show more

  • Voltage cut off problems
Color: Fit for Milwaukee
I've set up a few of these already (voltage regulators) for kids hot wheels. Bought the kit for the voltage cut off to protect my Milwaukee batteries. It's easy enough, double click the + button then adjust the value to where you want the power cut off to your battery. I did 16.4 volts. Connected the battery and it read 20.4 volts (fine for a Milwaukee battery) my son drove it along for a long time, I finally went and looked at the voltage and it was down to 11.4... so the cut off did not work. I went and re checked what the voltage cut off was set at and it was still 16.4. So it just did t work at all, very bizzare. ... show more

  • Speeds up those barely moving power Wheels
Color: Fit for Milwaukee
Best thing we ever got, power Wheels seen to be going slower and the batteries aren't holding a charge as long? Get this, mom's it's easy to turn on and see the endless smiles of the kids drive through the yard and you can turn it up to go faster for the bigger kids or low for the little ones.

  • Works, but not like it’s supposed to
Color: Fit for Milwaukee
Wired it up like everyone else has. With the car unplugged I can change the voltage with the speed control knob, can set it Down to 12 volts. As soon as I plug the car in, voltage gauge goes right up to 19.7 volts, no way to change voltage, “speed control” knob does nothing. Melted a relay and popped a capacitor in my cars control box ... show more
