I painted new walls with a base coat of non metallic paint, then a trowel to apply Golden Paint Works tinted pearlescent paint. I hoped for more of a pearl shimmer, but it was not as I wanted it. I purchased this medium and rolled it over the wall as a third coat and it is perfect. It is transparent to allow the color of the paint beneath to show through. But now the walls have that beautiful pearl shimmer I was looking for. Nice to apply; quite thick so does not easily drip or splatter. Really lovely pearly paint. Used on abstract art & it just hugged the highs in the highs & lows of the texture. If you’re looking for quality iridescence, this is your medium. I always test first, so would recommend doing so to get the right sheen. Flows easily and is a good value for the money.

I mixed this with wall paint to do a faux finish. I first ordered one bottle. Not enough. I finally after many steps used 3 bottles. The effect is close, but a bit of a let down. That is my fault. I was trying to replicate something I had done before with a product on the market. This time I had to make my own. Had I had more knowledge, it would have been better.
