Really cute gift but may be more age appropriate for an older kid - this had a significant learning curve for my 5yo. Not sure the frog design fits with an older audience though. We were able to make some nice pottery in the end with plenty of adult help. The real winner was the painting kit, we had a lot of fun painting silly designs. The machine works well and seems relatively durable. Good size for small hands. Be sure to use somewhere that is easily cleaned, things get messy!
