It is made of environmentally friendly and non-toxic materials with no odour, so your child can use it with confidence. The edges of the turntable are also rounded, so it will not scratch your child. Moreover, its operation is very simple, the child can easily get started. I just need a little guidance from the side, and my child can finish his work independently. The media could not be loaded. It’s between 3 and 4 stars. Hi, new to pottery! I feel like there are no reviews from someone actually using it so here goes. For the price and all items included, it’s a good starter wheel. But it’s not very powerful and you can press a max of 6.6 lbs of force on it. That said, I’m only trying to make little tiny cups for fun. So it’s perfect. It’s a little wobbly, see videos. And the clay was a bit dried out. But you just need to give the clay a good bath and then make a long snake out of it to dry to your desired consistency. I hope the motor lasts longer than a month or two, will update if it doesn’t.

I work in a college ceramics studio with pottery wheels and have experience with making my own pottery on a wheel. When I bought this product I expected to be able to create smaller pots for myself using my own clay, but was instead met with disappointment… The first problem this product has is its general functionality as a pottery wheel. The motor that turns the wheel sputters when you apply a minimal amount of pressure against the wheel and the speed isnt as advertized, which is not ideal for making pottery. Secondly, the bats that this product includes arent even compatible with the wheel itself, which makes keeping the clay on the wheel impossible. Finally, the quality and size of the tools, compartments, and the wheel itself make the product not very ideal for making pottery. All of which being very fragile and flimsy. In conclusion, this product is NOT worth the money, nor the time you will spend attempting to even center your clay on the wheel.
