I searched all over Amazon for the perfect tool kit to bring along to my wheel class for beginners and this is the one! You get a great selection of tools for the money and you can tell the brand cares about their products which you just can’t say the same for a lot of the other toolkit sellers. I read review after review about tools breaking as soon as they touched the clay or companies that just sent multiple of the same tool to make up the kit. I had high hopes for these after reading the reviews and they didn’t disappoint! I keep them in a reusable 2qt deep rectangle container (intended for food) and they fit perfectly.

There's lots of assorted tools, rather small so good for smaller projects. There were a couple defects, wood glue where wood glue shouldn't be. I think the glue would wear over time especially with wet clay. A few of the tools are extremely similar with minimal difference but there's plenty of tools to get started on clay with. Very nice assortment.

My twin girls got a basic clay spinning wheel, and I thought it would be fun for them to have these tools, too. When they arrived, it was a little overwhelming. My girls don't really know what they are doing, as they are new to pottery. They didn't have the patience to learn what to do with all of these tools. Instead, they used the couple of tools that came with their clay spinning wheel, and they never even touched these tools. Not what I expected! If you are a more experienced, knowledgeable pottery person, or if you have the patience to play around and figure out how you would use these, then you may enjoy this more than us. As for value, it feels a little pricey at round $25, but maybe that's because it's hard to appreciate tools that you really do not understand. I am rating these 4 stars because I think they would be very nice for a more experienced pottery crafter.

I'm new to PMC (precious metal clay) and I wanted a set that had everything I needed to get started. This set is awesome. I can't believe how many tools are included for the price. Plus, it's the one of the few sets I've seen with a metal scraper. This is one of the best tools for working with the small pieces of PMC needed to make jewelry pieces. I love the blue tipped tools. They're perfect for getting a bit wet and working the cracks in the clay. The wood handles are lighter, cheaper wood but sturdy enough for a beginner. The metal is even with no burrs that might get caught and tear on the clay. Overall, for the price and the amount of tools that come with it, I can't find anything I don't like about these. Perhaps a professional potter or jewelry artist would like a sturdier set but these would work for most anybody. I highly recommend this set for those who don't want to spend a lot of money.
