This bean bag chair is awesome! It is a Christmas gift but I had to peek. Cover is bright and colorful and made of a quality material. Canvas perhaps? Stuffing is plentiful and makes the chair feel very full. I ordered the larger size because my 5 year old great granddaughter is taller than average. I'll bet she'll use it for at least 5 years. First of all, this bean bag is good quality for the price. I like the durable construction of the cover. However, be aware it is NOT waterproof. Second, it was overstuffed, which I suppose is preferable to understuffed but the staticky styrofoam beads are a challenge to remove without getting everywhere except where you want them. This brings me to my third point, the zipper. It has no handle for a reason. Safety regulations require that beanbags have this type zipper to prevent children from opening the beanbag. Children may suffocate if they crawl into a bean bag and are not able to find their way out while their breathing is restricted by the material and contents of the bag. Small children may inhale and choke on the tiny polystyrene beads found in a bean bag. This risk is particularly prevalent for children under the age of 3. To open, simply insert a paper clip into the hole in the zipper where a handle would typically be placed. You should notice that the zipper can be moved at this point. Use the paper clip as a pull to slide the zipper up and down. Ensure that the paper clip is inserted through the correct side of the zipper hole. Inserting the paper clip through the wrong side will not release the zipper. It is important to remember to remove the paper clip from the zipper mechanism after you are done. Especially if the bag will be within reach of children. I hope this information is helpful. ... show more

The canvas cover is pretty tough. Not exactly comfortable. Also, we ordered the purple bean bag cover with the hearts on it. It arrived much different than pictured. It’s still purple with hearts but only has pink and blue hearts on it. It’s not as vibrant and colorful as pictured. No flowers or anything on it either. Overall, not a horrible product. Got two of these beanbags last week for my grandsons, aged 9 and 3. Both have very durable,removable canvas (duckcloth) covers and mesh inner lining bags that are supposed to contajn the pellets while outer bags are bejng laundered. The boys love them, and i love the quality. Both bags were well-filled with styrofoam pellets about 1/3 x 1/4 inches long. What I DO NOT like is the way the outer zipper popped open when the younger boy flopped down on the larger beanbag, and the inner bag had a small 5" tear in the seam and liner fabric that allowed a bunch of the balls to escape. It took me and my daughter more than 20 minutes to corral the pellets, most of which were between the liner and the cover. I stitched the hole together and put tbe liner into the plastic cover the beanbag was packed in for shipping before stuffing them both back into the outer cover. I hope it will be a long time before the cover needs washing, because all those pellets generate a lot of static electricity that defies being stuffed back into the liner! The inner liner is thin polyester mesh and stretches easily to allow movement when the bags are being used. Unfortunately, it apparently tears easily, too. I paid over $120 for these two beanbags, and I really like them, but repairing one in less than a week is not part of what I bargained for. ... show more
