I’m the type of person to read every single review both good and bad before purchasing anything. I just bit the bullet and purchased this SUP especially for the price at the time. Purchased Thursday morning and it came on Tuesday the following week. I’ve taken it out at least twice already with no issues. I’ve read that some people lost the screw to the detachable fin, but I believe the company made changes as my screw does not come out which is a great design change that way you just slide it in and screw it down. Pump gauge appears to be working fine, does take some work when you think it’s full and you should stop, but I just keep pumping. My paddle came included, the only odd thing is that the paddle extension still slides a little even when locked, but it’s not too bad/loose. Went with my friends who rented hard SUPs and mine could withstand the water and wind coming in! I recommended this one to them as they then wanted their own.

PORTAL SUP customer service is amazing. I emailed them about an issue I had with the screw and they responded the same day with some questions about my order. Once I verified some info they mailed me a whole new fin and screw! I was so impressed with their customer care. The board itself is amazing. Very lightweight, material is easy to roll, but inflated solid like my other heavier one. I love the extra d rings and camera mount, which will give me more options on my adventures! I highly recommend this board to anyone new to SUP who values customer support and a great quality to value ratio!

I bought my board mid-July of last year. It was the perfect color, I loved the shape, it's lightweight, good quality, and treads water like it's nothing! Honestly the best board a beginner could ask for! Everything fits in the carry bag very well. It's easy to clean and store. The pump is really nice quality, but it is a manual pump so it's still a workout to use, which I expected! Portal Outdoors is also AWESOME to work with! I had only taken my board out a few times last summer before I lost the detachable fin. I was DEVISTATED because I knew it would basically be useless and would be much harder to use. Now that it's summer, I've been wanting to go out again! I was going to suck it up and buy a whole new board, but decided just to see if the company had a replacement I could purchase. I emailed them the link to the board I bought, a screenshot of my invoice, and an explanation of what I was looking for. They replied to me a little later that day asking for my shipping information because they were sending me a new fin FOR FREE! I sent my information and received a tracking number the very next day! I'm absolutely elated and have decided any future boards I purchase will be from Portal Outdoors! Thanks Portal for such an amazing board and customer service experience! P.S. - Portal SUP Inflatable Paddle Boards are Border Collie approved!

I bought this for my fiancé, and he loves it. We take it down rivers with some small white water sections and he says that the lift on the nose of the sup makes it just a little bit more stable on the river. The D-rings on the deck pad is a super nice feature too. He loves the design and is super happy with it. It’s pretty light weight and easy to carry inflatabled and in the storage bag. It’s as easy to inflate as any other paddle board. Nothing too challenging, but takes time and a little bit of work.

I love this paddle board! I knew buying it that the pump might have some issues but I loved the colors and design on this one so I went ahead and bought it. Upon receiving mine I found that the hose on my pump had a hole in it. I contacted Portal and asked if they could send me a new hose. They sent me a whole new pump within two days! I have not tried the new pump yet so I cannot say if the psi gauge works on it. However, I am still very pleased over all with my board.

I have both this orange portal paddle board as well as a blue weekender board by retrospec and this portal board is by far my favorite of the two. I was lucky enough to snag this during an end of summer sale last year, but honestly with the way it performs, the way it’s so easy to transport, setup, and use - I would say it’s worth it to splurge on even at full price. It’s very sturdy to stand on, it glides fast on the water, and it’s super cute to boot! The hand pump works great, at first I thought the psi gauge was broken, but I just hadn’t pumped it up enough. Pro tip: if using the hand pump you’ll know you’re nearing the required psi amount when you feel it resisting you when pushing down to inflate and that’s about when the gauge starts to read the psi. An electric pump is definitely quicker and much easier, but I almost prefer using the hand pump because I don’t mind the extra workout lol.

This board is an amazing deal! It is easy to balance on and paddle with. I used it on calm water and water with some waves and it was easy to maintain balance, but your experience may be impacted on your level and experience. It comes with a great bag to store everything and keep it compact and transportable, and the pump is decent. The rear fin is easy to put on and take off. I used an electric pump to fill it with air until it looked full, and then finished pumping it up to 14 psi with the manual pump that comes with it.
