  • You cant ask for much more at $55
Great projector. I don't know what the resolution is, if I could guess it's probably 480p. The brightness on battery is good enough to get you by in total darkness. Ittl last about an hour on battery which is pretty good. I say this is good because I actually opened this unit up to see the insides, and the battery is literally the size of my thumb. Plugging this unit into a 12VDC supply gets you full brightness, which is excellent for watching TV outside by a fire. You can get 12V lithium battery packs on Amazon for around 30 bucks that will increase the brightness of the screen and give you a total runtime of about 3-4 hours. Great combo for on the go entertainment. Icing on the cake is that you can power a FireTV Stick using the USB port on the projector. I mainly use my Fire TV stick lite with a really short microusb cable as a streaming device with this projector, you don't need the extension dongle either to fit the usb plug in next to the HDMI. In short, an absolute steal for what you're getting. If you're thinking about getting this projector, go for it. You will not be disappointed. UPDATE: i ended up returning it. Still a good projector but just not good enough for what I was trying to do with it. Going to get something a little more substantial for my needs. ... show more

  • Very dim
If you are expecting anywhere near a bright image, you need to be in a nearly 100% dark room. Otherwise, you will not be able to see the projected image. Just be aware of that before you purchase. I would rank this device more of a novelty than a serious projector by any means.

  • this is for artists
you can get a very small image with this. I was able to trace my image on 15 inch paper. art projectors that are digital are out of my price range so I am thankful to have an opportunity to use this affordable one.

  • Works for camping b/c it's rechargeable!
I was looking for something for our cabin that is off the grid and only has electric if running the generator. Wanted something we could watch downloaded [Netflix, Hulu, etc...] movies from my android phone, tablet, pc. I tested it out last weekend and was fairly pleased. For the price, it's a good deal. Pros: Small, portable, rechargeable and doesn't need to be hooked to WiFi, Internet. It states battery will last about 1.5 hours. I haven't tested that yet. Worked from my phone, tablet so far. Haven't tested game systems yet [PS4, Xbox] Con: Only thing I wish was better was the brightness of it. Not easily viewable unless it is dark. We're inside of a cabin without walls, curtains at the moment, so it doesn't work great until evening time. Definitely was worth the price. I will update once I've used it more. ... show more

  • Great for outdoor, not for indoor
Its pretty good, considering it is a battery powered projector. My son and I did outdoor movie night and watched Matilda and Space Jam. Space Jam looked way better, most likely due to the brighter colors throughout the movie. The picture is very pixelated, almost like you have scan lines vertically and horizontally. With that, good much reading text or captions. We tested this on my son's room with youtube one my phone. You were not able to read nearly all the text. Same with the Nintendo Switch. Tried it with the new Bowsers Fury. It looks ok, but nothing like the picture on a tv or phone. I am going to keep this unit as it was super cheap and will be great for camping. Great for kids, camping, and maybe a sports backyard party? Not a great substitute for indoor theater, however (maybe for kids tho). ... show more

  • USB input doesn't work for photos
Although this unit has a USB input, you can't project photos stored on a USB drive. You can only use the HDMI input. The resolution is also not great. If you plan on using this for tracing I do not recommend it.

  • Great portable projector
The media could not be loaded. Pros: Portability due to built in battery Built in speaker Brightness Image quality Price Cons: Speaker is on the quiet side Cannot be used in the bright rooms The projector is VERY portable. The built in battery feature at first seemed excessive. However, after using it for about a week daily with the kids I love it! There is enough juice to last through the entire movie and I don’t have to finesse with cords when I bring it outside. The projector is very bright given the size and portability. Using it at night outside or inside yields great picture. However, it cannot be used during the day or in the brightly lit rooms. Which is not a big deal cause who wants to watch a movie with the lights on? The speaker is plenty loud, could it be louder? Sure! But it is battery powered so it will do. It’s loud enough to watch a movie in the backyard facing relatively busy road at night. There is also an option to attach auxiliary speakers via mini jack. Which I didn’t feel the need to do. The thing that really blew me away was the size of the projector and the quality of the image it produced. Attached is the picture of the projector with the USB stick on top. It is literally the size of a thumb drive! I was able to hook up chrome cast to play some Disney movies for the kids with no problem. Another big plus that it comes with the remote. So once set up and focused on the screen you don’t need to move yourself or touch projector to adjust volume. Overall very good projector that becomes great once you factor in the price of under $100 and the portability of it. It’s a really good value for the money! ... show more

  • Underwhelming.
I received my Artlii Q Pico projector and upon first glance I was impressed. Packaging was really nice. The projector came in an inflatable sleeve which kept it very secure. It comes with remote, av cables, hdmi, and the power cable. The projector itself is cute and childlike with its round body and bulbous lens. Its feels light and mostly made of plastic, but it could still take a drop or two without worry. Then I turned it on. It started right up, but the image quality is severely lacking. In a room with any kind of light, you can’t see what is being projected. You really need to be in a pitch black room to see your picture. When you do get something projected, the image is grainy. You can count every pixel on the screen. If you move closer, it gets worse. I have the first pocket projector from Artlii and I love that one. It’s more expensive, but worth the extra money. It greatly out shines this little Q projector and is easier to use. The menu on the little Q projector is a bit clunky, it’s not too obvious where to start, but after about five minutes I was able to connect my computer, phone, and a hard drive to it with ease. The remote on this one is much better than the previous projector. For the first projector I have, you need the be directly behind the body of the projector in order for the remote to work, but the Q remote works from any direction as long as the remote is pointed at the projector itself. Although, I do really appreciate the buttons on the machine. Having buttons to control the menus without the remote is a beautiful addition. In conclusion, I don’t see myself really using this version of the Artlii projectors, although some things work well like the remote and the onboard buttons, it’s a bit underwhelming overall. A little more money can go a lot farther in my opinion. ... show more
