This planner is well-worth the money! It has helped me focus my mind and get organized as I began my first year of homeschooling (kindergarten and pre-K), and it has made it easy for me to plan out each week. It's a beautiful, sturdy book, and the spiral binding makes it user-friendly since it's a pretty hefty book. The highest praise comes from my husband. This book is incredible and I can’t think of switching to any other company in the future. I’m attaching several pictures because if I had known that it was going to be this great of a value, I wouldn’t have hesitated on the purchase and I want to help other parents who may be sitting on the fence to feel confident moving forward knowing what is being purchased. This book is bound with a heavy duty spiral and thick laminated card stock that I completely believe other reviewers when they say it actually holds up for the school year. The pages are also thick, crisp and clean unlike many of the lightweight varieties I’ve had in other planners. I love that they go above and beyond and actually have a section of example filled out pages so you can see what is intended with their set up or you can go your own route and fill it out some other way. I have used six or seven different homeschool planners, and this is by far the best one I have ever used. I will be purchasing it again next year. Everything is labeled but not so detailed that you can't tweak it to work for your family. There are plenty of pages and assigment slots for up to six students. I included photos so you can see everything. I will say that this is not a planner that is easy to transport because it's heavy. But I didn't need it for that purpose, so it's perfect for me. For the price this planner is such great value. It’s very sturdy and the pages are very thick, the illustrations are absolutely beautiful and the separators are also very sturdy and durable. I love that it has sample pages at the beginning to exemplify how to use the planner. It has space for 6 lids and even though I’m only homeschooling 2 kids, I plan on using the other spaces to keep track of some online classes I want to take and subjects I want to learn more about. ... show more

I’m not one to write reviews often, but I LOVE this homeschool planner. It’s sturdy, large, and doesn’t bleed through the pages. It’s laid out better than I could have imagined. Hated paying shipping, but so glad I bit the bullet and ordered anyway. I’m only a week into the school year, but right now I can say fairly certainly it will be what I purchase year after year.     • Good for bigger families; doesn’t fit my needs as well as I hoped.
Every homeschool family is different. We don’t do the daily strict schedule thing (I have a kiddo with challenges who can not transition well so we use checklists that often change), and we only have 4 days of “core lessons”. I like to keep things as simple as possible and not mimic school at home. This planner is definitely better for bigger families who follow stricter schedules. I homeschool 2, and ripped out all the extra pages for 4 additional students. It was a lot of wasted paper. Let’s start with the things I personally am not crazy about: •All the designs throughout the book overwhelm my mind- it’s clutter to me. •There are dividers that seem unnecessary: for instance, between info and planning- to me these are the same. The info pages help me plan. So again, I just tore out the divider. •The grading chart seems unnecessary. I would have rather seen a generalized rubric or had a grade tracker even if as simple as an “end of quarter grade chart” •The curriculum pages: For me, they should be in the front with the planning section rather than in the back under “records”. •we have goals every year (and semester). I wish there was a place at the beginning of the planner(in the planning section) to track these other than half a page before each month titled “things to accomplish”. Our goals are a huge part of what keeps me focused on what’s important for our homeschool fam each year and I am bummed there isn’t a great place to keep track of that. •The attendance and records are in the back. I wish they were in the front since I utilize them everyday. It’s not a big deal to flip to the back but it is a big book and isn’t super quick to do with them in the back. Pages get stuck on the rings. So, I am using the yearly calendar overview in the front to track attendance instead. •The yearly overview for each student has 36 weeks, broken into 4 quarters. That schedule may work for some families, but not for us. So more pages to either rip out or tweak. • would’ve liked to see a page to track state requirements and info. (Luckily there are a ton of note pages in the back) Ending with the things I do like: • the month calendars are with that month’s weekly assignments! • the weekly assignment pages are listed with the days at the top and subjects along the side. • Thick paper: good! I can say from experience Gel pens, Crayola Silly Scent Markers, and highlighters will not bleed through! Sharpies (permanent markers) will. •seems like sturdy, strong covers and spiral binding. • Folders in the back and front covers! • the uplifting sayings throughout •pages for extracurricular information •lots of note space in the back. •before each month, there’s a monthly overview. This will greatly help plan and see what’s needed going forward. This is definitely better for bigger families who follow stricter schedules. Unfortunately, it’s not the “simple plan” I was looking for, for our homeschool. ... show more
