I understand the problems others have using this, the tube that would screw down to hold the tire was very hard to take off. Treads damaged had to put never-seize on the treads and work it to free it up plus tube welded off center poor quality control. Every time I tried to break the bead while pushing down the shoe or horn would slide away from the bead toward the edge of the tire. Angles was not of correct design. After looking it over I place a 4x4x10 board between the base and the tire close to the base or center shaft. Then slowly push down on the tire bead and it moved away from the rim being careful not to let the tire slide. I was able to replace 4 TPMS for all 4 of my wheels. It didn't bent the pushing arms. Just to let you know what I did to make it easier to use. First the part I call the shoe that goes against the rim & tire should be about 2 to 3 inches wider. The tire when breaking the bead should be supported about 6 inches off the floor to get the shoe to go between the rim and tire to push down on the tire bead instead of push off to the side of the tire. Also the the top holding tube should be welded straight and not damage the treads. There is a hole in the pressing arm looks like cut with a torch again poor quality control. The base cross should be welded together. That piece of angle iron is a waste. I'm not returning I'll just build off of this one and I'll make it better. See the pictures

Harbor Freight has one of these that looks identical, but is priced at $59.99. Mix in a 20% off coupon and you're looking at $48, almost exactly half what I paid for this one. My fault for not comparison shopping, I guess. It's hard to use, yes. It's a manual tire changer. There's nothing easy about that chore, but this makes it a bit easier than it would be with a pair of tire spoons. The build quality is decent, nothing to write home about. I wish the base were bigger, then it might be possible to use without floor mounting. Speaking of which, this absolutely must be mounted on something, preferably a concrete floor. I don't have a concrete floor, so I've ordered some 16" ground anchors so I can set it up outside, but it really would be better on a concrete floor. If you don't have a Harbor Freight nearby, this is a decent buy for the money, and certainly cheaper than a several thousand dollar pneumatic system... Just pay closer attention than I did when comparison shopping and don't even try to use this without some form of floor mounting!

I purchased this after seeing utube videos most of which we’re positive and I thought that finally I was not going to be forced to take my tires to the shop to be mounted, however the seller description and the videos failed to mention that if you are trying to mount low profile tires like I was trying then NO, THIS WILL NOT WORK, I have 245/45ZR18 🛞 to mount on 18” inch wheels 🛞 and I tried to mount them 5-7 times but no success due to the low profile Rubber tires that’s why I am giving them only 3 stars and I feel am generous since I have not tried to mount normal tires 🛞 which am just guessing that this tire mounting device will work?
