This spillway works very well. It was easy to set up. The hardest part was trying to decide where to put it. (I have a much larger pump and waterfall that are electric, but I am trying to go all solar.) It has helped filter and move the surface water to keep the water oxygenated. I did have to buy a short hose to attach it to the end of my pump tubing. The hose fits perfectly and does not leak which is important, since it sits outside the liner. I have a solar pump attached to it, and it runs very well during the day. I did also buy the filter media and I rinse it out when it gets dirty. I currently have a brood of toad tadpoles that are very happy with this spillway. ... show more

Works just as it should. I had no issues with leaking, and it was easy to set up. The plastic feels durable and sturdy. I do wish it came with a built‑in filter screen or something similar. Does exactly what it’s supposed to and is well made. I put bio filter balls in the bottom of this along with some stone to filter the water. It also helps hold it down.
