I’ve always bought clay at hobby lobby, and it’s super expensive. I recently moved and didn’t take it with me, so this is my first time buying from anywhere else, and I’m so happy!! The clay is a little stickier than what I’m used to, and I got a few bubbles when I baked (my oven runs hot, I cooled it down a bit and the rest came out perfectly), but for the price it’s wonderful!! As long as you reinforce bigger projects inside with tin foil and toothpicks (like Donnie in my first picture), you’ll be just fine. There are so many colors and tools, and it came in a cute little box that fit everything perfectly. There are also accessories, which are super cute. There are ring pieces, earring adaptors, tiny hoops for ornaments, beads, and my favorite is the super cute little golden bells!! They actually ring pretty well even when attached to something, which I’m very happy with. Theres also a little reference/tutorial book, which gave me the idea for the holly on Santa’s hat! Again, super cute, would recommend to any beginner or intermediate sculptor :) Great for beads, ornaments, figurines, and I haven’t tried jewelry yet, but I certainly have the supplies to, now! Overall- I’m very happy with this product and will definitely order again when I run out. What I think the best way to use this is, is to get a cheap chunk of just white clay and make the general shape, then cover over it and detail with this. ... show more

The clay is very soft and mushy. I love it! I usually buy fimo, but this one has lots of materials and clay in it! The tools are a bit flimsy, but I already have more that I bought. However, if you are giving this to a little kid then I would 100% recommend. Also, the clay portions are very small. If you are looking for large portions then I would recommend sculpey or fimo. The clay in this kit is pretty decent quality wise, not too hard and not too soft. Colors mix well with one another. Perfect for some claymation if you're a stop motion animator. It could use less variety of colors in exchange for more of the main colors in my opinion. The clay tends to absorb any dirt grime or dust, so make sure you use gloves to keep the colors nice and bright. The only issue I have with this kit is that the instruction manual is poorly translated, but that's not really the end of the world. There are plenty of videos on YouTube about how to properly handle and bake polymer clay if you need clearer instruction. Overall, I would recommend this to my friends and colleagues for a 'quick fix' or just to have some extra polymer clay around just in case. ... show more

This was a great purchase. I'm a beginner using polymer clay and this clay is so easy to work with. Although I've since purchased more expensive professional products, I still really like these. Lots of colors to play with. I am probably going to purchase again. The tools are just ok. But the clay of perfect for my needs. My 10 year-old son received this kit for his birthday and he really loves it! He has made a lot of cool figures that quickly harden when cooked in the oven. It does take a bit of warming and manipulating the clay to get it soft enough to work with, but he's gotten the hang of it after a few attempts. Ive purchased modeling clay from here several times before and I'm never disappointed. The clay lasts long, it doesn't dry out (unless you bake it, of course), and the clay is incredibly malleable making it easy for children to use. My kids love making things out of clay, and this clay is the best!
