We couldn't build a wall around you to block out background noise, so we did the next best thing: created a "focus zone" with the new Voyager Focus 2 headset. All you hear is your call with three levels of hybrid active noise canceling (ANC). All they hear is you with our pro-grade microphones using Poly Acoustic Fence technology. I WFH full time. I have a 3 month year old newborn. I spend a lot of time in meetings. This has solved all my issues. My coworkers greatly appreciate being able to hear me and barely able to hear the baby crying. I'd estimate that background noise from the microphone is reduce around 95%. My coworkers used to hate calling me because they knew it was about a 50/50 chance that they could hear me over the the crying baby. If he is really screaming max volume - they can still hear it but just barely and it no longer impacts the ability for me to be understood. I'd estimate that the ANC in the earpiece is a little less effective than the 'around the ear' type headphones, but these are more comfortable. I'd say they cancel my ability to hear background noise around 85%. These are the lightest and most comfortable headphones much less headset I have ever worn. I sometimes forget they are on my head. This is the only pair of 'on the ear' headphones I've ever enjoyed. I have very sensitive ears and I can wear these for 10 hours straight with no issues. My #1 complaint - I can't use these outside - the microphone seems to really pick up wind noise. Not a huge deal as I bought them primarily for working in my office, but occasionally I like to work out on my deck - that is not an option with these if there is any wind. My #1 impression is the audio quality. I was expecting mediocre bass. I'd honestly say these are right next to my HS80 studio monitors and Focal Listen Professional Studio Headphones. Considering I primarily bought these for the microphone I am very very impressed with music quality with these. ... show more

    • Easy plug and play, not a great range or noise cancellation for user

I took a chance on this being a new release and all and chose to keep it so far because it does OK for what i want it to, but the price is a little expensive for the value. Pros: - easy plug and play on a macbook pro. just plug in the USB dongle, change the source to the headset, and you are good to go. - lightweight and doesn't both me much. i had calls for 4+ hours, and it was ok keeping it on for that long. - Does quite good for "outgoing" noise cancellation for surrounding sounds for the people on the call, not for you - more on that later. I was sitting next to a TV for a test, and the others could not hear the TV or my noisy fan. so does well for this. - easy volume control and mute/unmute button is very handy. - battery seems good. no issues. Cons: - Noise cancellation for myself is pretty much non-existent. so if you get it for that purpose, you are better off buying something different. when wearing it, i was able to hear everything around me very clearly, even on the highest ANC level. again as i stated above, for the others you are talking to, this is a different story. - Range is not great around my house. I have not tried range with line of sight, but just leaving my office, i am able to go 10-20 feet around the house before it starts cutting out pretty bad. - if you move around a lot, like cleaning around while on a call, it's hard to get it to stay on your head and it can fall over. - USB dongle needs to be in the mac/PC. if plugged in a USB hub or a dock station, it doesn't work well and cuts out a lot even when sitting right next to it. Other notes: - im not sure what the MS teams is for other than to hang up the call. - Sound quality for music /etc is just OK. you can do much better at this price point for that purpose though. ... show more

I won't be listing all the good sides as you can find them through videos. Instead, I will focus on all cons: 1. Microphone extends only over 3 inches and hence really quiet. In manual, it says, bend the mic (don't do that, manual is wrong) until mic boom is 2 fingers away. Well, mic is not adjustable on this headset and the mic is 3.5 fingers away from the edge of my mouth. I am wearing it normally, and I am typical mid-size male with typical head. -2 stars for poor mic sound and not-revised manual. 2. ANC isn't that great. I am not subtracting any stars as it is probably hard to accomplish with this size of headset. 3. If you lean forward or bend forward, headset will fall off your head. It is very annoying but again no stars subtracted here. 4. My headset disconnected from Poly Lens app but headset kept saying it is connected to PC. In this situation headphones worked but mic didn't. I had to finish my meeting by switching to laptop mic. Restart fixed it. It only happened once but I will keep monitoring. Edit: Poly Lens app is still not working right. I charged my headset and when I turn it on, it says 'battery high', however Poly Lens app says battery critical. I tried reattaching dongle and noticed that when I remove dongle, app is still reporting it as connected. At this point it is straightforward frustrating as it seems something is not working right. Ok, so I bought these because I'm working remote and my kids (1 and 4) are incredibly loud, even if just hearing reverberations from the other room. I tested these with my children and husband in a tile kitchen - kids driving ride on play cars around loudly while I was wearing them and at one point my incredibly loud crying baby went off the deep end....and you could hardly hear a thing on the webex recording I made.
