  • Best Bluetooth Headset for Business Calls!!!
I'm not buying Plantronics Bluetooth Earbuds, Voyager 6200 UC Wireless Headset for running. I'm not buying it to jam to my tuns. I'm buying it because I'm in calls all the time, I need to sound crisp to the other end. I need to make sure that my clients/customers/partners/team will never say to me "I can't hear you" or "You sound garbled". After all, I'm doing business calls, and it could be as a simple "How Are You?" or a call for a million dollar deal (I'm in Enterprise)? What I am looking for is that when I make a call, that YOU the receiver won't hear much of the background noise. Whether it's road, coffee shop, kids (I work at home), or wind noise. Out of 15 Bluetooth devices, this I can say is the best out of all of them. When I am NOT talking, the headset blocks almost all of the outside noises. When I speak and I am in a crowded area, the other end hears me and hears some (but little and acceptable) background noises. This ensures a more clear conversation between the caller and myself. This is the ONLY reason why I bought this headset and probably why you seeing the reviews to see if that matches you and your business lifestyle. PRO - sound quality When listening to music and podcast, the quality is crystal clear. Bass is heavy (which I didn't know if I liked it or not). When playing music, the outside noises are lightly muted, it's not over the ear so you can hear whatever goes in the background but it's not distracting. SEMI-CON - fitting The fitting is different, it's for sure some proprietary buds that wedges into your ears, so you won't be able to purchase 3rd party replacement buds (but with the quality you probably won't). On the rare occasion, I have to re-jab the earbud (usually right side) when I feel like it's not snug enough. but I never had it come off... NEVER. if you are used to those 3rd party earbuds that you jam into your ear, this might not feel the same. It will take some time to get used to it, I honestly didn't hate it nor enjoyed it but you get used to it and don't care about it. You will have to insert and twist upward (counter-clockwise on the right, clockwise on the left) for a more solid feel. However, it kinda loses it's solid position when you turn left or right, which is annoying. CON - charging There are 2 types of charging and I don't like either option. One is direct connection via USB-B and the other they give you a dock to place your headset in. Let's go with USB-B first. The cover to this is very tight and I feel that every time I try to pull it off, feels like I'm going to break it because I have to apply some sort of force. The dock, well when docking the headset, it doesn't feel secure, any gentle wiggle and I can displace the headset to the charger. Annoying on both but NOT a deal breaker. CON - Non-magnetic earbuds when I take off both buds of my headbands, I would like them to be magnetic so they stick together rather than dangle and bounce around me when I walk. PRO - USB dongle for your computer this was a surprise to me, but it comes with a USB dongle that connects to your PC when you get a SKYPE, WebEx, BlueJeans, call. It works really well, there's no thought process, just plug in your USB dongle and your headset automatically connects. NO pairing your laptop to the bluetooth. TL;DR need to ensure your calls are of high priority? want to make sure that the background noise of where you are at are NOT being heard on the other head when your customers? this Voyager 6200 headset is it! ... show more

  • Sound great, concerned about their ability to withstannd my use case
Color: Black Style: Headset
These replace a Jabra Evolve75e... which I love and the thing lasted five months with very light and limited use (one of the earbud cables failed, totally unacceptable at $200). I have many good experiences with Plantronics products and so hence this purchase. This was my first beach day with the V6200 and they sound amazing. Way better bottom end than the Jabra headset... but I can't say if that's better drivers or better fitting (larger) tips. But either way, they do sound amazing. And the charge adapter and wireless port are really cool, I love that about this product. My concern is the power switch (a slider?) and the charge port that both face down and lie up against the top of my chest... bathing in salty beach sweat (it's hot where I live). Is this going to last? I guess I'll find out (and I will post that here). The Jabra headset feels richer in my hand and I way prefer its controls... which include a nifty setting that stops your music and plays in your ears what the mics are picking up. That's cool and very handy. No such thing with the V6200 and I will miss that. But I've never had a Plantronics product fail and I'm hoping for that here (I will never buy another Jabra product). A+++ for the large tips, wireless charging, and sound quality. B+ for the controls. No experience yet with talk or the ANC, I will post that as it happens (I don't generally talk through these). UPDATE 26 Nov 2020. After a year+ of pretty regular use at the beach, they still sound great (streaming). But the mic has about failed, I cannot use these for voice at all. It's as if it thinks my voice is background noise to be canceled (even with the ANC OFF). I've been all over the interwebs looking for a solution and I've tried everything. I guess I will buy another, these things really sound amazing and I need the extended battery life. ... show more

  • Maybe next time....
Color: Black Style: Headset
This is a great headset for listening to music. However, I have other headphones for that purpose. I bought these for an on-the-go headset for making calls both in the the office and out and about. And I am sad to say they are terrible for that. I get sooooo many complaints from clients that I end up just calling directly from my phone. At my office, we do have private rooms. If I can snag one of those then it is ok, but with an office environment they do not work well at all. Same goes with outside with the wind that just comes from walking. People complain about that as well. My co-workers use Apple buds and claim no one complains! These are supposed to be *the* office headset and they seem to be worse than Apple's isheep product. The good: - They are very comfortable to wear. -They fit well in your ear. -Great battery life imo (10-12 hours) real life. -Look nice All said, I cannot recommend these to my fellow office warriors. It's sad too as this is a niche that needs to be filled well. To all: Keep an eye out for Sony's new neckband device coming Jan 2020. Yes, it is designed to be a noise cancelling beast for those who want to listen to music. However, there are some descent reviews on the mic even though that was not their focus on the previous version. I am willing to bet its better than these. I'm going to be giving them a shot and if they work ok I am going to be selling the Plantronics. I simply cannot afford to *seem* like I do not have my S*** together when I am on the phone with my clients due to my "best of the best" office headset (smh). ... show more
