Description

Polo is here for fans of beautiful, eternal things. Its name awakens association with a closed circle of the chosen and this circle has its rules and traditions. As a truly masculine perfume, Polo does not contain floral notes, apart from chamomile, which has more grassy than floral scent. The opening of the composition is green and fresh, made of grassy notes of Artemisia, basil and thyme, with spicy notes of cumin, coriander and cloves. The heart is strong and masculine as conifer woods, decorated with notes of patchouli, oak moss and vetiver. The base contains leather, tobacco and thyme, which create a wonderful, intensive trail. Update 8/17/16: I paid $55.24 for this just 3 days ago. I see as of this morning, Amazon raised the price to $70. That's a 27% increase in 3 days. At that price, the savings value is greatly diminished. -------- -------- I will not speak to other reviewers, but I will say the bottle I received (shipped AND sold by Amazon, not a third party seller) is 100% authentic. After deciding not to spend $95 on this same item at Dillard's this past Saturday I searched Amazon and found this at a terrific price. From there I researched how to tell a real vs. fake. Based on what I found to be key indentifiers of fraudulent product, coupled with the fact this scent smells authentic, I can say this is genuine Polo. - the batch numbers on the bottle as well as the box match. The batch number on the bottom of the box, right beneath the barcode, is embossed and centered, not printed. - the box is embossed with the wording. This can be verified by just looking at the box, but the embossing is also clear by feeling the inside of the box after removing the bottle. Fakes often have a printed box or even a box with a photo of the product. - the text below the bar code, located on the bottom of the box, is tan. Fakes are notorious for printing this text in white. Additionally, the barcode is not a stickered bar code, but it is printed on the box itself. - the logo on the bottle is clear and not "stuck" on the bottle which is another indicator when you've received a copycat. - the bottle is the very dark, traditional green color of Polo cologne. Fakes will often have a lighter green bottle. - the scent is unmistakably Polo. I hope this review helps ease the mind of potential purchasers. The money you save here on Amazon is phenomenal and even if the product did have an issue, Amazon's customer service is second to none. This item shipped very quickly. I received it and immediately opened it because I wanted to make sure the bottle was not damaged. This cologne was packed very well and showed up in great shape I purchased this Polo by Ralph Lauren Eau de Toilette Spray for my Dad for Christmas. My Dad loves the Polo by Ralph Lauren for Men, Eau de Toilette spray. My Dad has been using this cologne spray for as long as I can remember and for as long as I can remember I have been buying him a bottle every Christmas. A bottle goes a long way you really only need to use one or two sprays to get the full effect of this cologne. My Dad gets a lot of compliments from the ladies when he wears this cologne. This is the only cologne he will wear he has tried others but never uses them more than once or twice so now I don't even try to get him a new spray I just stick with his favorite. My Dad likes very much that this is a spray cologne and that you do not have to pour it out of the bottle. The price of this cologne is a good value. My Dad highly recommends this product. My Dad is 87 years old so hopefully he will be able to enjoy this for all the years he has to come. ... show more

Almost perfect. I checked the one I had for years against the new one. This one was a SLIGHT bit more citrus than woodsy and a tad bit more alcohol smell but overall, nailed it. So slightly off, if I didn't have the old bottle on hand before I threw it away, I would not have noticed.
