  • So much fun !!
I played this 8 months late and had pretty low expectations, I played while on a trip and had a blast! Shipping and Package - The package arrived on time just before my trip! and the cartridge was inside the case, the case looked good and wasn’t damaged and the game worked just fine. Characters and Designs - The characters were such an improvement from swsh, I was actually invested in them! I also personally felt like they gave the gym leaders more personality this time around. I loved the rivals, Arven's storyline was definitely my favorite. I adored that I could take classes and bond with teachers, I loved Hassle sooo much. Designs are amazing as usual, no surprise there. Gameplay, Performance, and Glitches - The gameplay is like any other Pokémon game lmao, exp share is forced as usual but pkmn battles are optional now! The graphics are bad, and the frame rate is low, this much is obvious, but I personally didn’t run into many glitches. I heard the game was unplayable when it first came out so it’s a relief that it seems to have gotten better. Customization and Game Difficulty - The clothes are so ugly oh my god what a downgrade from sword and shield, it didn’t ruin my experience or anything, but I really don’t know what they were thinking. The game was pretty challenging at the beginning but got easier as I progressed, everyone’s experience seems to be different, so I think it depends on the Pokémon you choose and what level they are. Ost and Story - God everything about the story is such an improvement from swsh, I loveddd the last section of the game. I hope the next Pokémon games story is even better than this one. The music was a mixed bag for me, but I think it’s more personal taste rather than it just being bad. Most of the music was good, I liked that the wild encounter music changed depending on what section you were in, but I thought the gym leader's music was such a letdown. Overall, I surprisingly had a really fun time with this! If you want a Pokémon game with a really good story, characters, and music and don’t mind the few glitches, low frame rate, and bad graphics and customization, buy it! Obviously, I’m not that hard to please, so keep that in mind. ... show more

  • Pokemon Violet
I know it says European Version but don't worry about not buying it. I thought I messed up by buying it because it said "European" I got a great deal and I still get to play it in English which is nice.

  • Realistic Review for PokèFans
I wanted to leave an actual, realistic view about this game IN COMPARISON to the past pokemon games. This game is terrible. This game has very little story to follow, with the story there being whiney and shallow. Oh, some kids got bullied? Let’s form a team! Go Team Star! What conspiracies do we have?! Truancy!! Oh me oh my! Yeah, that part definitely sucked. I know I’m whining with this review, but after spending the time to go through and realize that this was the best they could do? On top of that, I get becoming a Pokemon champion is a key to every game, but why did this one feel rushed and easy? Then there was the scientific part of the story, and I’ll give it that, I did want to do that part to get that guys pokemon feeling better, but even then it was lackluster. My take on the game? Shallow, easy, nothing to it. The game has been oversimplified, made extremely child-friendly. This game is good for children between the ages of 4-8, at best. For anyone older, I feel like it’s sadly lacking. My childhood was built off of games like Pokemon FireRed, Leaf Green, Emerald, Platinum, and Black and White. Those games each introduced new, cool things. They had deeper stories, something you followed to progress. There was content worth exploring!! This game just felt like a blob of content that had nothing holding it together. You got to things when you got to them. There was no driving force to any of your actions realistically. No HMs, you simply unlocked had everything you needed. There was no following any routes or quests to get what you needed. You didn’t need to focus on perfecting a team, because all the gym leaders and elite four were pathetically weak. Maybe I’m complaining too much, so I’ll list some of the good things: you could customize your character a little bit, you finally have a mom who has a bigger house (single mother doing GOOD,) it’s nice to free-roam (though the map actually kind of sucked,) and the music wasn’t terrible. In other words, although this is a Pokemon game, this game has been turned into an incredibly simple auto-play. There is no struggle, no challenge, nothing to worry about in this game. Hell, you don’t even have to go to a PokeCenter to swap pokemon from your box in this game. It’s that easy. I would never buy this game knowing how it is. I would never gift it to anyone regardless of how much they begged, because they would regret having asked. The only time this game would ever be worth playing is if it were priced at $10 or less. And even then, I rather just go buy some fastfood, because the food would keep me happy for longer than this game did. ... show more

  • Great game horrible quality
Gave this a one star, because technology is to advanced to be dealing with the issues this game has. Pokémon is a big producer they should put more time and effort into improving the game for the better. Game itself is fun but I can’t let the company slide for a broken game. They need to step it up, and stop giving us fans minimum effort. ... show more
