This is my kids favorite game. The whole family laughs every time we play. Unexpectedly during a recent visit my mom and aunts played and had even more fun than my kids. Pure hilarity. It’s a fairly quick game, easy to learn, compact, and so much fun!

This game is so fun! I now instinctively speak like a cave person, and its a problem im getting ready to eat small tree cheese soup (broccoli cheddar soup) this game is addicting if you like speaking like a cave person than this is the game for you I highly recommend poetry for Neanderthals

Style: Poetry for Neanderthals
The game is very simple. You get a 1 and a 3 point clue. You have to speak in one syllable words (like a Neanderthal) if you don't, your enforcer from the other team gets to bop you on the head with an inflatable club. The big words don't trip you up, it's the smaller words like "only" or "bigger". Everyone is split into two teams and you have one minute to get through as many clues as possible. You get penalized a point if you break the rules and get bopped on the head. This is great for almost any age from kids to adults, and the games go by quickly. As soon as everyone has had three turns you tally up the score. There are no questionable clues in the original edition so it's perfect for the whole family!

Love the design of this game and the pieces! Quality and fun! Instead of hitting each other, we hit in front of people. 👉 Important tip— when you play, make it a rule that they must speak in sentences vs. just giving one syllable words like clues. If you don’t, it becomes more like a difficult “CatchPhrase” type game. On the Catchphrase note, make sure people can’t do clues like gesturing people to fill in a “blank”- the next word. That will dampen the fun of this game. Again, making caveman type sentences mandatory is where this game (and the laughs) will shine! Trust me!! So with that said….. MAKE GAME RULE SPEAK MUCH WORDS 🤪
