This is very finely messed windscreen/pop filter that does a very good job of filtering out ambient room noise and background noises such as nearby traffic. I even have a tower fan running on low and the sound it produces is basically inaudible in addition to the other noises I mentioned. Note that this is not an official Rode product but, nonetheless it does the job well at nearly half the price of the official Rode windscreen. ... show more

Make sure you wash it first, I used dish soap. Then I carefully dried it using a hair dryer on medium heat. This will get rid of all of the smell and nearly all of the wrinkles. Only reason I deduct a star is because it’s so big, seems like it could have been smaller. Otherwise works great.

Great pop filter for the Rode PodMic. Keep in mind it's huge, with a tight fit, but it does the job really well, only adding the smallest amount of warmer tone to the microphone. I ran mine under the sink for about a minute, soaking it fully to get all the wrinkles out, then let it air dry. Worked great. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I'll be honest: I wanted to make a Doughboy reference due to the name of this, but for your sake I declined (you're welcome). I suppose there isn't too much to say except "it's good" but then that wouldn't be much of a review now then would it (don't answer that) When I say this is good what I really mean is that it's sunshine in the dead of winter: overwhelmingly simple yet refined, needed but unknown. This is the way of any generic product, yet surely it has a voice of its own? What would the pop filter say if this was its last day? Probably not the sound of gagging or sizzling because the whole reason this exists is to stop such titillating bliss to the ears (look up ASMR) This is the antithesis of a siren, it beckons you to stay home and listen to good audio, not drown in the seas of manitee crotch rot.
