You get what you pay for. the instructions are minimum at best. This is my first lathe for wood. Assembly of the product is strait forward. It works great. First piece of wood in it. And they shipped to Alaska so no complaints at all !!

    • Waste of money
There are no locks on it. All adjustments vibrate loose as you are trying to use it. Mine is securely fastened to the bench and wood is centered but all the adjustments loosen while in operation. Also the deck is 2 pieces bolted together so there is a section at the bracket that cannot be used for either the end stock or the tool brace because the bracket attaching the 2 decks together is in the way. Deck is made of very thin walled metal tubing and if the tighten the end stock or tool brace too tight it crushes the deck tubing easily. Cannot buy a 4 jawed chuck or a Jacob's chuck for this lathe which limits what can be done on it. Overall I give it zero stars. ... show more

    • Parts do not fit
When assembling this item the handle that comes with the product is 2 sizes smaller than the post to which it attaches. The tool guide is also incorrectly sized and the tightening screw that comes inserted into the guide will not contact the post even when fully screwed into the guide bracket.
