Features

  • STURDY & DURABLE CONSTRUCTION - The mini lathe is made of high-quality cast iron which stands up to tear and wear. It is equipped with a 600W motor that delivers a great deal of energy. If you are into making models, it would be your professional assistant who has precise metric graduations and metal gears and therefore is punctilious.
  • INFINITELY VARIABLE SPEEDS - Revolving Speed Range: 50-225010%. The mini lathe machine comes with variable speeds that give you the convenience to achieve the best work. This lathe allows you to work on both forward or reverse of any possible speed. The feeding rate can be adjusted manually or automatically. And an emergency button is accessible just in case.
  • WORKS WITH PRECISION - Spindle Bore: 0.8"/21 mm. The metal working lathe is pre-installed with a 3-jaw chuck, 3.9"/100 mm in diameter, which clamps raw materials tight, and a backsplash guard that ensures your safety during operation.
  • FASTER & MORE EFFECTIVE - Swing Over Bed: 8.3"/210 mm; Swing Over Cross Slide: 13.8"/350 mm. The small metal lathe features a turret post for quick tool change and a cross slide for free blade moving, making internal cutting, face cutting and bevel cutting possible.
  • WIDE APPLICATION - The lathe produces precision work without taking up a lot of room in your shop or garage, making bushings, spindles, prototypes, models, and more.

  • Destroyed and Falling Apart on arrival
Lathe arrived totally destroyed. No packing material to speak of. Machine punched through the crate in at least 2 places. Upper fuse box crushed and broken off the headstock. Every knob or leadscrew everywhere crushed and bent. 0.0005 inch (5 tenths) longitudinal wobble in the chuck registration face of the spindle, due to spindle bent. Motor flopping around loose. Sheet metal bent everywhere else. The usual poor quality bearings. And no locks built into any of the 3 axis of the carriage. Headstock very noisy when running, lots of clatter. Probably will self destruct in a year because of so much scale and chips inside the headstock casting, that will fall down into the spindle gears. And no way at all to lube those. Carriage drive leadscrew seems to work but i haven't checked it for runout. So it might be bent too. The factory certainly didn't finish their work anywhere. And what they did do was destroyed in shipping. I was so desperate for a machine that i accepted this heap of broken and loose parts instead of sending it back. It required a complete and thorough teardown and rebuild, plus extensive modifications, before the first machine operation could even be attempted. And my project doesn't even use precision work, it's very crude. I'm only attempting 1-2 thou precision work on a good day. So it's not like i had any kind of high expectations. Seller did call me once to check that it arrived. One star for that. Zero stars for the "machine", or i should say, the badly made and badly packed "kit" of a machine. ... show more

  • Good lathe for the price
I read the reviews before purchasing. Lots of comments about shipping damage and lots of problems with dirt and grease needing to be cleaned. And unhappy they had to adjust everything. My experience was very good. Well packaged, no shipping damage. Had to clean some cosmoline and re-lubricate. Needed some adjusting, hello it's a metal lathe. I am a wood turner. Every new lathe I have purchased I had to do the same thing. My last lathe cost 8000.00, still had to clean and adjust. I looked at Harbor Freights mini metal lathe. More money and junk compared to this one. ... show more

  • Not worth the headache of ordering.
If you like wasting time and being frustrated, this is the perfect thing for you, if not, read on and save yourself some trouble. I ordered this lathe and waited weeks for it to arrive even though it said delivery by Monday. Ultimately contacted customer service, they were helpful, cancelled my order and sent out a replacement promptly, it arrived in less than a week. The crate looked to be in perfect shape and delivery was easy, thanks UPS. Upon opening the crate, all the warm fuzzy feelings about getting a new toy went away. There were many loose parts, bolts, nuts, handles, etc. laying in the bottom of the crate, the shield for the gear set was detached and the electrical cord was broken. I should have put the lid back on the crate right here and sent it back. I removed it from the crate and set it on the bench. I found most of the hardware to put the gear set shield back on. The safety shield over the chuck was bent and the glass was broken and partially missing. The rear guard was bent and everything was loose and falling apart. It was dirty and appeared to have possibly been returned previously. I decided to tighten up what I could, assemble what was missing and give it a try anyway. I chucked up a hitch pin and fired the machine up. Notable gear noise came from the case, I was not a continuous tone either, rather a fluctuating growl I associate with misaligned gears like when something is bent. I check my pin, and sure enough, it's not spinning true. I got another piece that was known true and chucked it up with the same result. The spindle on the lathe is bent. That's why I get the gear noise, that's probably why the safety shield is bent and broken, the lathe is useless. I assume something got dropped on it at some point in shipping or it was damaged, returned, and shipped to me as new. Either way it's junk, unusable, and is getting boxed back up and returned. I would not recommend ordering one of these lathes. ... show more

  • Appears used and it needs upgrades
Unsure about accurate description as it appears to be a return, maybe used. See the photos and decide yourself. Shipped quickly and arrived ahead of schedule, well padded and crated. Shipping may have loosened bolts, nuts and the like. All the listed tools were included. It powers up and has run at 200 rpm as a preliminary test. So far so good…albeit somewhat noisy. I gave 4 Star Avg. due to its used appearance and I have yet to perform a simple test cut. UPDATE; Having performed cuts on various material, this machine needs severe upgrades. Doesn’t center on the work.. leaves a nipple. Both X & Y slides need adjustment. Control wheels do not turn smoothly even after attempting to adjust. Cutting tools fail to maintain an edge after copper. Should you choose to purchase this machine, be prepared to upgrade it to a basic usable level. Be ready to R/R parts and shims. The fact that the cutting tools don’t center on the work makes this unusable our of the box. ... show more

  • Decent Lathe for the money
There are a lot of bad reviews of this model of lathe and yes some are well-earned. Although at the end of the day, my lathe was missing some parts and needed some setup to be ready to use, it works pretty darn well now. Is it perfect no, will it work for 95% of my projects yes, and then some. I found that the magnets were loose for the Tachometer and once those were all found and put in their respective places the Tachometer worked perfectly. The Saddle was loose and not sitting square with the ways. I made some minor adjustments by scraping the ways and adjusting the saddle side plates; now it is rock steady. The lead screw for the auto feed sticks out too far from the base so that had to be milled down a bit to fix the issue. Finally, the Cross Slide Feed Nut was barely hanging on and once that was properly secured, all of the play in the Cross Slide was eliminated. Your mileage may vary! ... show more
