Description
JET Belt Drive Bench Lathes feature an enclosed gearbox with helical cut gears for noise reduction and smooth operation. The full- length splash guard on all sizes prevents hot chips and fluid from contaminating the work area and the quick-change gearbox allows for fast and easy gear changes for metric threading. The optional bench shown in the image is compatible with JET Lathes and is available for purchase. Each JET Lathe comes loaded with features you’ve come to expect, all backed by an industry- leading JET two-year warranty. From the Manufacturer One of our most popular lathes now comes standard with an enclosed gearbox. The helical cut headstock gears reduce noise and the change gears allow metric threading. The spindle is supported by precision tapered roller bearings and has a carriage mounted control lever. The feed selectors travel in grooved ways, and the automatic feeding and threading are fully interlocked. V-way bed design is induction hardened, and the gap bed section is provided for larger diameter work. The tailstock may be offset for turning tapers and includes an inch-metric graduated quill. Standard equipment includes; 6" 3-Jaw Direct Mount chuck with top reversing jaws, 8" 4-Jaw chuck, 12" Face plate, steady and follow rest, metric change gear, center and headstock center sleeve, threading dial, and tool box and tools.
