These are fine, and they seem pretty simple to use. I was also surprised at the price (good) because they were cheaper than I thought these would be for this many refills. However -- I got these without having a pen to use them with, so I can't actually speak as to how well they function. But to me they seem like a great quality! But because of that price, a little bit on the cheaper (material) side, but in a way that doesn't seem like it would be an actual problem.

I absolutely love these cartridges. There are ink for days. I’ve used their other ones in the past which never really lasted. Ink would run out so fast out of those and you had to always turn it off your pen and scribble in order to get more ink out. It was just a major pita. However, with these cartridges, you don’t have to do any of that. They start out bold, strong, and beautiful right out of the package! Super easy to use: just twist it in the pen (tattoo machine) and go. I like that I can already pull off special strokes and techniques brand new fresh out of the pack, whereas with their other ones, I would’ve had to work it a little bit and get the ink warm in order to do it. I don’t know how Inlumino made these cartridges, but they definitely made them way better than they’ve ever been. Honestly, it feels like I’m tattooing with tattoo ink when I do dotwork style on high gsm paper. To me that’s awesome because the ink is rich. I’ve used so many different brands and so far these are the best I’ve used. As far as this brand’s cartridges go, these new ones are the best compared to their older ones. Here’s some work that I used them on. (The green is from the older cartridge line. You can see the difference with the black.)

As always a high quality product. I had ordered the permanent makeup workbook so you know I needed the PMU cartridges. The color options are great. The cartridges give you a good feel for the lines you need to be working with. They let me use my own machines so I am more comfortable. That is great as well. The ink colors are smooth dry quickly so not to distort your work. Most of my good sketch pads or thick enough not to cause damage to the pens and allow me to practice all I want or need. I think it is wonderful. I person think that the pens last a good while, but that is just me. Someone may use the pens more often than I get a chance to, but that is subjective. If you are thinking about getting some you should.

These ballpoint pen cartridges are a really great way to get use to the movements and strokes of a PMU machine! The variety of colors are really great and they worked well. Inlumino Heart is a great company and I always recommend their stuff, so this was a fun one to try. One thing to note is that these cartridges do not give you a sense of skin depth because you're obviously using them to draw on paper, aka a flat surface. They're just for practicing the actual movement and getting a sense of hand speed. For tattooing and PMU, practicing on fake skin is important and you'll need to use actual cartridges with needles for that. However, ballpoint pen cartridges are really awesome and low risk and Inlumino Heart is one of the originating brand (of not the originator) for this type of cartridge. Even if you don't plan to actually do permanent makeup or tattoos, these are honestly just a really fun way of creating art, especially if you want a stippled effect. Just worth noting these are meant for PMU machines and and are not generally interchangeable with those made for tattoo machines, so you'll have to pick a different Inlumino heart product if that's what you have.

They give good practice. I got them for my boyfriend to practice. It helps muscle memory to build for real tattooing later on.
