I really liked the look of the backing plate and it makes the Nest thermostat look nice. It also helps with the u painted area around the Nest since I went from a rectangular thermostat to a small one. The only thing was that I received this after I had already installed the thermostat. I had to uninstall the wiring and reinstall once I got the backing plate installed. All in all the extra effort was worth it to make the surrounding area look better. ... show more

If you are like me, you put in a nest and got rid of the old stuff. but the old stuff was larger and you probably had a lazy painter who just painted around the old stuff so it was all the wrong color, and had ugly holes and such. Well this product is like a plastic dish that allows you to cover all that mess and still mount your nest. I have included my wire colors in case that helps you, you will need to remove and reinstall the wires to install this item. This item is much smaller than expected. I guess I should not have looked at the photo of the sofa where this is as big as the pillow, this is more the side of a side dish plate. It was not large enough to cover the rectangle of ugly that a normal thermostat left behind. If this was like a half inch or a full inch larger it would be great. It did come with screws and such but that was not even needed. Just used the existing ones. It went on with ease and does look much much better. The plastic did feel a bit thin but the ending design looks good. ... show more

The PlusAcc Nest Thermostat Wall Plate is 100% compatible with my Google Nest thermostat. The wall plate comes with the plate and mounting screws as shown in my first picture. The remaining pictures show brackets, hardware, and thermostat from Google Nest. My nest thermostat fits well in it; the instruction is straightforward. I had to disconnect the wires to pass them through the hole. Take pictures in advance to remember where they go.
