  • Frame in size
Size: 12"X12'
Plumbers had run studs to hold plumbing in place, less than panel size. I just cut out some drywall beyond studs. Mounted it with permatex construction adhesive. Looks weird when you open, as has what you need and then some accessible.

  • Plasticky but useful
Size: 14“X14”
The 14"x14" opening is a good size to use, assuming standard stud spacing in your wall. The insert extends about 3/4" into the wall, so it probably secures better with drywall of the same thickness. The instructions mention using adhesive - which you'll definitely want in the form of a good sealing compound, otherwise the cover will slide out when you try to open it. The panel door sits nicely flush to itself and even has a little texture to it. The panel isn't meant for frequent opening, so there isn't a knob: you'll have to pry it open at the two notch points. Again, it's plasticky and doesn't really feel super-strong, but once installed it's OK. It gets the job done. ... show more

  • Good product. No complaints.
Size: 6"X9"
This review is for the Forland Store Plumbing Access Panel for Drywall Ceiling White 6 x 9 inch Plastic Access Door Removable Hinged Wall Access Panel Reinforced Hinged Panel. This access door is overall about 7.75in x 10.75in. The actual opening with the door open is about 5.25in (see picture). The plastic thickness is about 3mm. The plastic is sturdy and has a textured look and feel to it. I like that it is paintable. The door swings smoothly and easily. The door snaps shut with a bit of force and stays shut. Good product. No complaints. ... show more

  • Handy Solution for Hiding Water Lines
Size: 6"X9"
I recently used the FORLAND Plumbing Access Panel for a project where I needed to hide some water lines behind a new wall I built. This little panel turned out to be a great solution for my needs. It's made of plastic, which I thought might be flimsy, but it's surprisingly sturdy. It's not something I'll need to open often, but it feels like it can handle being opened and closed occasionally without any issues. The installation was a breeze too. I just used some adhesive caulk to glue it to the drywall, and it fit perfectly. If you don't use the adhesive caulk (sold separately) then it can slide out of the drywall opening pretty easily. The wide surface flange is great because it covered up the drywall edges neatly. The way you open it is pretty straightforward. You just need a flat-blade screwdriver to pry it open. The panel door can be removed completely, which is handy if you need more room to work. I don’t plan to open it much, but it’s good to know that I can easily access the water lines if I need to. I was also pleasantly surprised by how well it blended in with my wall. It's got a textured surface, so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I haven’t painted over it yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll take paint well and blend in even more. The only tiny issue was that it didn’t come with the tape for adhering it to the wall, as mentioned in the listing. But that wasn’t a big deal since I had the adhesive caulk anyway. I'm really happy with the FORLAND Access Panel. It's a simple, effective solution for hiding plumbing or wiring without creating an eyesore. If you're looking for a no-fuss, reliable access panel, this is definitely a good buy. ... show more

  • Size maters
Size: 8"X8"
Plumbing Access Panel for Drywall Ceiling White 8 x 8 inch. I got this to conceal the birds nest of wires and cables for the TV/entertainment/gaming wall in are living room. The only size I was able to find at are local big box stores was the 14" x 14" panels in the plumbing departments. The 8" x 8" size I found on AMAZON was perfect. Cut a 8x 8 hole, used some adhesive bed and bath calk I had lying around to secure outer frame to the wall. Gave it a quick roll with matching wall paint (latex and it worked just fine) and good to go. Very happy I found this ... show more

  • Covers my hose bib
Size: 14“X14”
I picked this up to cover the inside access to my hose bib. Material and finish is similar to others I have used from the big box stores. My only complaint is the suggested use of adhesive to attach it. It would be better to have a recessed head area to drop a drywall screw in and make a mechanical connection vs assuming that the paper face of the drywall is always going to be in good enough condition to fasten it well. In renovation projects, the conditions are usually less than ideal. ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed and easy to install
Size: 8"X8"
My house has been under renovation for all most a year now. I ordered this access panel in case I need at access the hot water line in the future. The panel is pretty nice quality and durable enough for years of use. Instead of using screws to install, it has to be affixed with an adhesive sealant. The hinges are pretty good, but I am cautious not to put too much weight on the flap when it is open. It is made of plastic and with too much weight I’m sure it would eventually break. This product is designed well and I am quite pleased. I would recommend this access panel to anyone. ... show more

  • Decent Quality Light Duty Access Panel
Size: 12"X12'
The unit is plastic and fine if access is only occasionally needed. The surface flange (the one you see when the panel is installed is plenty wide. The panel is attached by gluing it in place, I used some adhesive caulk to glue it to the drywall. The portion that extends into the opening is barely 1/2" wide so it covered most of my drywall edge. To open the panel you pry it open with a flat-blade screwdriver. Once open, the access panel door can be removed entirely if you need that kind of access. In my case I don't intend to open the panel frequently, but I could see it getting a little rough if you had to pry it open all the time. I'd buy this panel again for a similar use, but would stick to a metal door with a latch if I needed more frequent access ... show more
